When you were in school, what was something you had to memorize and recite in class?

In my 6th grade Geography class, we had to memorize the Preamble and recite it in front of the class.

not only they would force me to do the civil ceremonies a few times a year, but other events as well... then the many presentations at class, and few other team projects

but I also had a fixation with memorizing as much data as possible just to entertain myself during the classes... lol

Yes. My 10th grade English teacher made us memorize the pronouns.

I don't remember having to memorize anything. I think it's rather silly, even though I am a very quick study.

Something out of Shakespeare and it was like way too much for a jr high kid. It was like pages we were expected to recite. No one could do it and our teacher enjoyed failing us. It was thing with this guy.
