How do you memorize something effectively?

I want to know how you REALLY memorize. Like really memorize something, like a page or something.

I want honest answers not answers that are sugar coated butter that isn't even effective.

How do you do the process of memorizing it?

Well I'm a bartender and one of the best tips is to get out all the glasses for the drinks for some reason having the glasses their helps you remember what is going in them.

Also repeating the order back to yourself in your head the same way the customer said it helps.

So it's like reading it again and again right and have a representation of the things you're trying to memorize like those glasses

it takes an insanely long time for me to remember things, but i think you should try get the most important bits from the page and write it down / make flashcards or something. or you could record yourself reading the page and listen to it over and over again, then it should get stuck in your brain

I'm trying to memorize the diagnosis criteria of dysphoria for my major subject at school 😭

Sorry, you have to memorize.

Test yourself or with a friend over and over and over.

The last thing that I had to memorize like that was the phonetic alphabet. I did that about 4 years ago.

Wow thanks for putting in the phonetic alphabet I have always wanted to memorize that! I remember grade school I had to memorize the multiplication table and I only memorized 1-5 and 9 & 10. The brain of mine can't understand and can never remember 6,7,8 multiplication
