What's a good way to memorize a list of items?

As a responsible netizen and aspiring moderator, I'm trying to commit to memory the posting guidelines. Also my boyfriend Chad says I may be overly kind and compassionate to help people write questions that are free from discrimination, bias, cruelty, etc.

Nevertheless I need a tool to encode information in a way that allows for efficient storage and retrieval. I vaguely remember an ancient Greek technique.
