Should children be put to work earlier to learn valuable life skills?

It used to be the norm around the world to have children work jobs even at 5 years old. Now, some societies seem to want to keep children away from work until they are well into adulthood at 25-30! My mother took me to...

Update on night shift: surprisingly like it. I thought I'd hate it. Has anyone else here ever worked nights?

I only work two 16-hour shifts, which is 32 hours. That's considered full-time. The rest of my week, I'm off, or I'll fill in here and there. Other than that, my perm schedule is two days a week, 32 hrs.

There are several common misuses of words and grammar in the English language. In the poll below, (words are listed alphabetically with correct usage shown first) which one bothers you Show More
"It is I" instead of "It is me", nominative vs objective
"its" instead of "it's" to indicate possession; "it's" is a short form of "it is"
"led" instead of "lead" for past tense of the verb "to lead"; "lead" is a metal
"You're welcome" instead of "Your welcome", "you're" is a short form of "you are"
Something else, please tell.
Nothing bothers me.
