WELCOME to my list: 10 of my top war films. I have plenty more but I'd like to share with you these ones.

I would write paragraphs and parapgraohs of bullshit for why I love and chose each film, however I just want this take to be a quick, simple take. Thanks for reading and enjoy the videos! :p

The Lost Battalion

Didn't have a good trailer for it on youtube. But one of my favorite movies I have an ancestor who was part of the lost battalion and survived the onslaught. If you want to know about the event you can check it out here.

Only seen 1 war movie and it was Fury, which I really really like, but I have no way to gauge if that's a good one.

Thumbs up for including "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" on this list! It's almost criminally underrated, lol.

It was overshadowed by another seafaring movie that year (the very first "Pirates of the Caribbean"), but it was a very different movie, of course: a more serious movie, and about naval life and warfare in the Age of Sail. Also seemingly a simplistic plot about two ships chasing each other around, it was actually a very thoughtful story about a lot of enduring human conflicts and trying to find the balance between: hierarchy vs. equality, professional duty vs. personal relationships, war vs. peace, discipline vs. kindness, etc.

And especially for 2003, it also did some INCREDIBLE things with CGI. Some shots were entirely CGI and yet feel just as "physically there" as the actual physical shots, not just because they had great artists, but also because they used CGI in all the right ways and places. It was truly the use of CGI in movies at its BEST, and probably the single most underrated aspect of the movie.

YESSS SOMEONE ELSE WHO AGREES!! It was so underrated! Perfect acting, perfect staging and action and not to forget the historical accuracy!

Yeah dude! Oh and the ending scene was so cool and stylish haha. Russell Crowe's character realizes he got fooled LOL, and so they have to delay their Galapagos vacation AGAIN, to follow the French ship into port. xD And then they sit down and play the instruments together, as the ship unfurls its sails and follows the other ship into the horizon. Something about that always stuck with me. It was kind of a quiet ending, but dramatic and cool at the same time.

Haha I know right! So much accuracy in the film, perfect scenery 10/10 there was nothing cheesy about it at all. I really love the beginning when the french ship (forgot her name, acheon?) fired all we hear is shots in the distance through the mist, then the red fire blast... for someone watching it first time... what a thrill and excitement

Oh yeah, it was called the "Acheron"! And Russell Crowe's ship was the "Surprise". xD

Tried medieval total war 2 witht he LOTR mod? Its amaaazing. I wish they'd update ETW, their best game so far. There's something so satisfying about defending a fort against 4 full stack armies, and ur down to ur last batallion

Hhahaha I'm the exact same! I love to play as the Dutch on very hard campaign and battle settings, and defend with elite swiss inf, the blue guard and Holland guard xD While focusing on India and america ;)
Haven't tried the LOTR mod yet!

Good list, I have only seen half of these. I really enjoyed the Last of the Mohicans, Gladiator and Black Hawk Down. Their soundtracks were amazing.

I played guitar, but the pain in my finger tips was too much. I was sad, I wanted to pick up the harp. That would be nice if you learned how to play the theme and other songs!

I feel ya! Same with guitar tried it with a glove... 😂no but, your fingers toughen over time. You should try on flute!

My poor, soft delicate fingers, though. I played my guitar for over a year, and the calluses never came, just pain. It's ok, I gave it away to someone who really wanted a guitar. Yes, I should practice on the flute!

5, 9, and 10. I think you'll like lone survivor, surprised me a little bit. Based on a true story about navy seals in Afghanistan (maybe Iraq). Oh and you put braveheart on the list so you didn't need the patriot. They're basically the same movie lol. Both great though
