The Best TV Characters

**Spoiler Alerts!**

Unforgettable characters are one of the best parts of television. I haven't watched every show, but I've watched enough to pick out several characters I feel deserve some credit. Feel free to add your favorite TV characters from any show in your comments.

Rick Grimes (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

Seriously, this guy is a hero. He always puts others before him and has a big heart. His courage is inspiring and he never backs down from a fight. The thing I love about Rick is that he first talks things through and tries to negotiate, and if that doesn't work, he puts a gun on the enemy's head and gives them orders. So admirable.

Daryl Dixon (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

Daryl makes me smile, laugh, and cry all at once. He is my favorite character on TWD because he's such a badass with a big heart. He is always there for the group and every time he is out of the group, he stays loyal to the people he cares most about. It broke my heart how he searched for Sofia for so long and apologized to Carol for never being able to find her. If he ever dies, I'll be in tears and never watch TWD again. That's how much I adore him. Plus I've always loved the Rick and Daryl bromance. <3 He's the best right-hand man Rick could ever ask for. For my 15th birthday, my friend made me a Daryl birthday card. That's how real my love is for Daryl.

Negan (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

Hear me out! I know this is gonna be a very unpopular opinion, but Negan is one of my favorite characters in The Walking Dead. Even though I'm disgusted by his sadistic ways and that he killed two very important, beloved characters in such a gruesome manner, his presence moved the story along and made TWD more exciting.

Michonne (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

What would the show do without her? She's smart, can see through people's intentions, and is a killer with that katana. The greatest Michonne moment: when she stabbed the Governor through the chest. The sucker deserved it.

Glenn (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

Who didn't like Glenn? I bawled my eyes out when he died. I'll never forget when he helped Rick get out of the zombie herd in the second episode, how brave he was, and how he put others before him. RIP Glenn, we miss you.

Carol (TWD)

The Best TV Characters

Loved her when she baked cookies for everybody in Alexandria to intentionally hide she's badass and can kill anyone instantly in a 10 mile radius. She is the very reason (besides Daryl and Michonne) that most of the group members are alive.

Tyrion Lannister (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

The best GOT character hands down. He's the smartest character on the show, he's funny as hell, and he just drinks all the time. I've never seen any other TV character with so much wit. I've always admired him and supported his decisions. He's easily the best Lannister on the show. Favorite Tyrion moments: WHEN HE SLAPPED JOFFREY and played a drinking game with Grey Worm and Missandei.

Cersei Lannister (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Hear me out. I understand--Cersei is an absolute psycho. However I don't think of her as a completely evil person. She had shown an incredible amount of love towards her children and she had a right to burn down the Sept of Baelor. She was better than them and I applauded her as she got her revenge in the most glorious way possible. She has so much depth as a character and it's entertaining seeing her as queen in this new season. Her humanity is now lost because her kids are dead...it's gonna be crazy when she has a showdown with Khaleesi.

Arya Stark (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Best assassin who ever existed. I adore her storyline, which captivated me from the start of the show. She's fiercely loyal to her family/friends and she's unbelievably strong both mentally and physically. I'm gonna tear up when she reunites with the other Starks!

Jon Snow (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Let me compose myself. He shouldn't even get an explanation because he's so great. <3 Anyway I'm gonna type out an explanation. First of all, he's the true hero of GOT. There's barely any trace of evil in him and he always does everything he can to uphold his duty of protecting the wall. Second of all, just look at him...he's cute! Even Jimmy Kimmel's 3 year old daughter can see that. :P Third of all, he's Jon Snow, duh! Of course he's gonna be one of the best, probably even the best. Whenever something bad happens to him, I have the urge to teleport through the screen and kill all his enemies. It's good he killed some of them already! Take that Olly :P I really, really hope everything will turn out okay for him this season! <3 He's the most beautiful on the inside and out on that show.

Recent scene:

Daenerys Targaryen (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Daenerys has some flaws that could negatively impact her possible rule over the Seven Kingdoms: her stubbornness and self-righteousness. She's not listening to anyone's counsel and she acted real cold towards Jon Snow, which I particularly didn't like. Hopefully they'll be allies eventually... However, Daenerys is powerful and she really cares about the common people and freeing slaves. She deserves all of her 20,000 titles (lol) and she carries herself with an infectious grace and confidence. So far, she's the only character I'd like to see on the Iron throne and I love the fact she has dragons and can survive in fire. She'll be invincible...but only if she listens to Jon Snow, Tyrion, and everyone else!

Sansa Stark (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Sansa went through some major character development. She went from a timid, spineless girl to an intelligent, resilient young woman due to all the horrors she withstood. She now has the courage to fight off her enemies and she'll do anything to keep Winterfell safe. Maybe she has a desire for power too. When she fed Bolton to the dogs, I felt so proud of her. Sansa's dangerous now, watch out!

Jorah Mormont (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

He does everything to protect Dany which is really heartwarming and sad at the same time since she doesn't have the same feelings for him. Jorah is awesome and I'm glad he's at least cured from greyscale. I have a feeling he's going to die regardless though :(

Samwell Tarly (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

He's intelligent, funny as hell, Jon Snow's true friend, and will probably find out how to kill the white walkers. He has a big heart and I believe he'll succeed in protecting the wall with dragon glass in his hands, Jon Snow, and hopefully, Khaleesi's dragons by his side.

Littlefinger (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

I cannot describe how much I despise this dude. He's a repulsive pedophile who needs to stay away from Sansa and he's the most greedy GOT character alive besides Cersei and the Greyjoy uncle (which by the way would make the most evil couple). DUDE, you'll be king when pigs fly. Nonetheless, he's on this list because he's a crucial character. He started the whole war but he isn't as bad as Ramsay or Joffrey. I cannot thank him enough for poisoning Joffrey and sending an army to destruct Ramsay's in the "Battle of the Bastards." Littlefinger's manipulative ways are almost admirable and he's the only character as cunning as Tyrion or Varys.

Brienne of Tarth (GOT)

The Best TV Characters

Brienne goes out of her way to protect the entire Stark family and props to her for being a great knight! In a corrupt GOT world, she remains honorable. Tormund and Brienne need to get together already!

Damon Salvatore (TVD)

The Best TV Characters

Damon was the only reason I watched TVD. DON'T EVER try to convince me Stefan is the better brother! NO. It's Damon, period. No questions asked. He's hot, a flexible problem solver, has the best quotes, and doesn't take everything so seriously. He was actually there for Elena and challenged her to be the best she can be. He was evil in the beginning and changed himself for the better. Gotta love those kinds of characters.

Alaric Saltzman (TVD)

The Best TV Characters

Alaric is a cool vampire hunter who actually becomes friends with some vampires. He was a good friend to Damon and a father figure to Jeremy and Elena. Haven't watched the later seasons, so I don't know if he's still alive but from what I remember, he was one of the best characters on the show.

John Locke (Lost)

The Best TV Characters

John Locke is an original gangster. He was certainly a better leader than Jack, a true survivor, and he knew just about everything. The writers of Lost made a mistake making him the "Man in Black." Like what? You can't do that to John Locke.

Sawyer (Lost)

The Best TV Characters

If I miss any character's lines from Lost, it's Sawyer's! He had a nickname for everyone and I always laughed in every scene he was in because he made a joke every 3 minutes. Not to mention, he is drop dead gorgeous...why didn't Kate choose him? Ugh, she was so indecisive. His story of going from con-man to plane crash survivor was so interesting and I can't get enough of the funny nicknames and one-liners. Lost without him would be a mediocre show.

(GAG isn't allowing me to paste any more images)

Charlie (Lost)

Charlie is the most beloved Lost character of all. I can't watch his scenes without tearing up! The way he cared about Claire and her baby was so sweet, and I'm happy he found his own "family" on the island.

This video ;(

Ben (Lost)

This dude is legendary. Not as legendary as Locke but close. He's wicked intelligent and knows people's weak points. His roasting skills are perfection.

Sayid (Lost)

Sayid was strong, smart, and extremely resourceful. Also someone the group couldn't survive without. He was RIGHT every time there was a dangerous situation.

Desmond (Lost)

I love Desmond so much. <3 He's very likable and interesting. "The Constant" was the best episode ever.

Jeff (13 Reasons Why)

First of all, I didn't like 13 Reasons Why. It didn't portray the issue of suicide in an effective way and I believe it caused more harm than good towards young viewers. But, Jeff deserves some credit. He was always there for Clay and he did kind deeds without asking for anything in return. He deserved better for crying out loud! RIP Jeff. ;(

Paris Geller (Gilmore Girls)

I stopped watching Gilmore Girls because Rory and the whole thing with Dean *cough loser* enraged me. But, this girl needs a medal for her sass! She keeps it real and says everything that's on the viewer's mind! She's a legend and I love her crazy rants. Why doesn't she get more screen time?

Jess (Gilmore Girls)

Jess was seriously the best. I appreciated his blunt nature, superior intelligence, and spontaneous moments. When he left, Gilmore Girls was never the same. He was a million times better than Dean and although I liked Logan too, he still had a better personality than him and never had to prove how accomplished he was to anyone. He had some issues in the beginning but he solved them on his own and brought Rory back on track.

Luke (Gilmore Girls)

The funniest moments are when Luke gets annoyed or grumpy, which is about every 5 seconds. Luke is just great and he has the most hilarious diner rules. He was the best role model for Jess.

Dean (Supernatural)

I don't watch much of Supernatural, but Dean is my favorite. He stays rational under all circumstances and it's so adorable how he looks after Sam.

Eleven (Stranger Things)

Eleven is the definition of perfection on television. She's powerful and give the girl her Eggos!

Dustin (Stranger Things)

I appreciate this kid's sense of humor and the way he packed everyone snacks for the mission! Lol.

Joyce (Stranger Things)

She's an amazing portrayal of a caring, brave mother who won't give up until she finds the answers.

Chief Hopper (Stranger Things)

He's the best cop in town and can separate the good guys from the bad guys. He tried his absolute best to find Will and was the only one who listened to Joyce, Eleven, and the other kids. Mad respect.

Jim (The Office)

Jim's FACIAL EXPRESSIONS are life.

Enjoy these videos:

Pam (The Office)

What is there not to love about her? She's so sweet, intelligent, and she and Jim make the most adorable TV couple!

Dwight (The Office)

Dwight is hilarious in an absolutely crazy, questionable sort of way. When there was a fire in the building and he rushed everybody out, I died from laughter. He's so gullible too and Jim's pranks on him are 10/10 binge-worthy.

Michael Scott (The Office)

Best, most ridiculous boss ever. His lines crack me up in every episode.
