Sopranos started in 1999; thus, not really 1990's. Sponge Bob is not really that iconic and also started in 1999. "Blue's Clues" is more 1990's iconic than Sponge Bob. "Dawson's Creek" is pretty iconic on the WB. "Sister Sister" would be another show that is iconic. "Home Improvement" is another iconic show from the 1990's. "Family Matters" is another one.

Omg so many shows from back in the day missed! Now I’m mad! Lol

  • shephardjhon
    forgot one again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TsMyLt2BTM
With the divisions in today's society, people need to watch this again DESPERATELY. Perhaps even more than TNG (with the exception of Darmok ).
    Is this still revelant?
    • Yes!. The episode "I am in Season 4 and just saw the episode "The Visitor." It is the only TV episode of any show I remember that brought tears to my eyes.

loved Friends, Fresh Prince, Buffy & Angel and a few other 90's classics but also hated many others
but like shows today many were cut for silly reasons long before their time... and if they had the chance to run for longer would have not just become cult classics but would have been very long running shows in general...
  • pervertedjester
I escaped the 90's without seeing 3 of those shows. My Favs included Quantum Leap https://youtu.be/DjK9GJMBpt0 The Wonder Years https://youtu.be/hSrXupUlA_Q and Married With Children https://youtu.be/0deJRSu1iTU

    Loved Buffy.
    10 Classic 1990's T. V. Shows

Friends is the most popular show in the UK.
This is an old link, but there was a similar story in the last few days.

Why is spongebob on here? It was only on in the 90's for one year, while it was on for the entire aughts and is actually still continuing through the 2010's. If 1/20 of the show aired in the 1990's, it's not really a good one for the list.
  • Gedaria
Yes , there some great shows there are some that wasn't my thing. Friends oh how I had the hots for Rachel. The X files I found it more like a thriller than sy , find but good. Frasier his brother like a little lap dog to the love of his life. ER you just didn't know what was going to happen next. When that doctor fell down the elevator shaft. . Sex and the city said it all , I love being around women but this put you in the middle. Why is there nothing like it now?
  • ManOnFire
I remember all of these shows. Fresh Prince and ER were pretty good. My favorite shows though were the TGIFriday line-up, Early Edition, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Wishbone, Goosebumps, and Lois and Clark.

I like the Beverly Hills Theme song the most
Second favourite is the Buffy the Vampire Theme Song
  • smg99
Ideally these are classics but if someone keeps talking or reminiscing them it’s lame and cliche.
  • Bribree18
I hadn’t realized that this... this is what I’ve been missing in my life.
    • Guanfei

The 90's had so many great shows. Tbh I haven't find many as good lately.

  • McKellar
    Here's my all time favorite.

    • Guanfei

YES. Loved the show. Sad end but it was worth it.

    • McKellar

@Guanfei Real frickin sad ending if you asked me. Sam should have leaped back to his own time & to once and for all be with his wife.

    • Guanfei

Yeah. From what I've heard, that wasn't the end they wanted to make. Apparently, the show was canceled, and they had to come up with something. There was another part planned, where Al was seen talking to his wife about leaping too, to save Sam.

Spongebob Squarepants startef in 1999 and is more of a 2000s and 2010s show. X- Files is my all time favorite show. I have seen every episode of it and the movies. Love the soundtracks.
  • SarahsSummer
I still love to watch Friends when I’m home from work.
  • humanearth
I'm for the fresh prince. That song is infectious. You can't help but sing along to.
  • stellamint
Friends is definitely the best TV show ever made! Maybe not the funniest nor the smartest, but it was special.
  • jimyee
How is Seinfeld not only in the list but not at the top?
    • Kaazsz

Right? I was scrolling through expecting to see Seinfeld.

  • beebella
I figured that Friends and BH 90210 would be on this list. 😋
ER, Frasier, Fresh Prince, and Spongebob are some of my faves from the 90's.
  • kitty71

  • Titanic1912
You missed Full House! It was a 90’s show! It’s still popular today.
    • I recognized Friends, Frasier, Spongebob, and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The only ones I don’t want to try watching are Sex and the City and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

  • AynonOMouse
Out of those shows I liked Buffy, Fresh Prince, and Friends.
  • Popy393
The only one I really know from there is friends theme tune!
  • Likes2drive
I saw all of them, I liked most of them, Sopranos was pretty good, You forgot “Saved by the Bell” 😊
  • Locha037
    You missed out on

    The A Team
    Knight Rider
    Fame
    AutoMan

I think my own list can go on and on!
    • jimyee

The a team and knight rider are both 80s... in fact after looking up the other two shows they were in fact 80s as well. And automan was only 1 season, hardly a classic.

    • Locha037

      Oops!

  • Miristheiss
I'd say Seinfeld was top 10 too. Probably top 2.
  • reptocarl
