So I have listened to the Cowsills Hair song on the radio and it inspired me to see exactly what songs
I could come up with for a ten list of songs about hair and I started with this song as an inspiration first. THIS IS NOT A TOP TEN FAVORITE LIST, JUST A LIST OF TEN HAIR SONGS SPECFICALLY INVOLVING HAIR OR AT LEAST CLOSE TO IT....
1. Hair- Cowsills (1968)
This song is not using hair in the lyrics or uses it to describe something, it is quite literally hair that it is talking about all types and all kinds, it is a hair celebration

Then I started going down the list of ones that I knew and one is a stretch and the other was brought back to my memory so after these 4, the last five were all new to me :) hair is not a popular topic for a song I will tell you that :)
2. Hair- Ashley Tisdale (2009)
Ashley sure changed her style for this album past her Disney days and I really love this whole album, this is one of my favorites the whole thing, the flow of it, kinda pop/punky ish but hair is all about her man playing with her hair, how ever he wants to cause she likes it :)

Well, do you want it? The hair part... :)

That's it, that's all there is but it is main lyric and focus of the song so much so that it made it to this list.
4. Grease- Frankie Valli (1978)
So this one is going to take some explaining because quite frankly it does not have the word hair in it. But it has the word grease and well, what is that grease being used for....
see that red container that's grease and every character in this beginning movie animated open will put a comb through their hair and a number of them will use the grease :)
5. Cut Your Hair - Pavement (1994)
I listened this and thought.... wait I remember that from something..... wait a minute! A very brady sequel!
with David Spade as a hairdresser :)
and shelly long as carol brady

It is pretty straight forward cutting her hair or the thought of it anyway

So this is not directly talking about hair but using it strongly as a metaphor with plenty plenty of beauty shots fixing up their hair

This song really surprised me, I mean the lyrics speak for themselves

It is comedy country, yup it is.... and it's an older one... and... honestly I don't really need to put lyrics because well the song is a perfect hair song just with the title, I would have to put the whole song as an example but...

and I know what some of you are thinking... I whip my hair back and forth!, I whip my hair back and forth! Well this is the middle ground to that song, this is the let's dance with our hair up, instead of back and forth :) that is why I chose this one.
and besides... ITS TROLLS... It would be dishonor not to list this song here :) you know... Troll hair... :)
