WWE Has been sold to the Saudi Arabians

WWE has been sold to the Saudi Arabian Public Investment firm. In other news, Vince Mcmahon is back in charge of the company as the executive chairman.

This is deeply concerning for a couple of reasons:

1. WWE has a good Women's division. With the Saudi Government's track record on women's rights, it could lead to a lot of them walking out on the company.

2. WWE has at least one wrestler of Syrian descent. The Syrians and Saudis are giant enemies.

3. Vince McMahon is back in charge. Just months after extensive sexual assault allegations. He is also known for pigeon holding and mass firing of wrestlers who the fans like.

If this is true, I am disappointed in WWE after Stephanie McMahon and Paul "Triple H" Levesque tried to repair it and make it a wrestling company for the fans again.

Update: it has not been 100% confirmed yet, but still concerning.

The Americans will now NEED to pay women wrestlers equal to their male counterparts. American law gives women shitty rights, but not the right to equal or better pay than a man, despite doing the same work. Unlike Saudi Arabian law, which does.

Syrians ARE Arabs, you fuckwit. You really think a single Syrian is special enough for a deal like this to be knocked back? Especially when Americans have killed hundreds of Syrians with their weapons deals!

McMahon has been at the helm for long enough to know the business. If the American board of directors can legally prove he's fit to run again, then he's fit to run.

This feels like it got sort of clutch from the wall or something. It's a really random question. I guess I find it really hard to get worked up about this because I'm really not into wrestling and I actually don't know anyone who is. In fact I didn't think professional wrestling was a thing anymore. That said, if the author of this question is a wrestling fan then I can well understand why you would be concerned about these things. I hope it all works out for the best and nothing terrible or inappropriate happens because of the change in ownership. I hope that you continue to enjoy wrestling and that watching it brightens your life.

There's no reason why Saudi would buy WWE. It's a waste of money enterprise that most people except for diehard fans don't care for.
