I personally prefer female vocals, but i'm more into instrumentals in general.

I tend to listen to the metal or rock genres, so it is rare to find a female vocalist the heavier one gets. From that, I think I'd prefer the male singers, but that could simply since I haven't been exposed to many female ones. Male vocals tend to be better suited for rock/metal from what I've seen, while female vocals in my opinion tend to really shine on the sweeter kind of tones.

Every once in awhile I find a female vocalist with killer screams, but I dare say that is a rare event. I can only name one or two heavy metal bands with lead female vox.

I'm currently in love with Shawn Mendes' voice. What a talented kid. Men that can sing well are sooooo soothing to listen to 😍😍. I also love listening to talented female artists. Both of them, if they've got the talent, are lovely to listen to.

I am a vocal musician, I have a preference mostly great female artists, but in my favorite genre of Country a very powerful one is rare. But I love it when a top male artist takes a song by a female or vice versa and re-makes it!!!

I like male singers for casual listening, because I'm a country music fan and men typically dominate the category, but when I go to a show, like an opera I prefer the females.
