Anyone dislike modern music that loves 80s or older?

Question

I'm now 28 but ever since I was a young teenager (you know.. just finding what I truly enjoy) I've always loved older music such as the car's, the cure, the doors, led zeppelin, joy division, the list truly goes on and on. Things you really just never hear people listening to when you pull up next to someone at a stop light. I'm just curious if there are any people out there with the same taste in music and why can I never pull up next to you at a stop light? haha.

I tend to like the stuff from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I grew up in that era. The good music stands the test of time, but I'll also tell ya, there was some shit that came from that era, too (Love Is Like Oxygen comes to mind). The new music can sometimes be good, if it isn't too synthesized, lyrics too juvenile, or when they try to mix rap with country, or some other mix that they try throwing together just to see if it flies. Actually, my favorite singer right now is Michelle Branch, and she's more from the 2000s.

I can't Stand 99% of today's music! With a few exceptions, like Jack White, The Black Keys etc., late 80s/early 90s are basically my cutoff period. In addition to the big guns there's Cream, The Kinks, Velvet Underground, The Who, The Moody Blues, Fleetwood Mac, Queen... the list could go on forever. But the fact remains that they created art. Today what you have is a marketable product. Ugh.

I like early 2000s and before. Some of this new garbage is simply not listenable. Like Mumford and Sons. Wtf is that? It's like country/folk trying to pass off as pop. I don't know some of this new stuff is really bad

I mostly listen to old music, like the rolling stones, queen, the cure, depeche mode. Also old greek rock and art bands. But not all current music is to be dismissed.

I dislike modern music and like the oldies. I like classical, country music, led zeppelin, beatles, johnny cash, simon and garfunkel... and the list goes on and on...

I'm also more old school, but I'm not only hearing things from the 80s. I love Metallica and Iron Maiden and a few albums from Judas Priest, most of the things I hear are from the 90s though (most notably Pantera). Led Zeppelin is nice though! It's hard to find people with a similar taste of music but two of my friends pretty much have the exact same taste so it isn't impossible to find them haha
