Probably spiders. Not that I am a fan of spiders but rather they have evolved such unique traits that they are fascinating. For instance webbing, if you look at the spider man movies, he is catching cars and swining them with his webbing. The funny part is, in 90% of the movies, they are actually UNDER representing the strength of spider silk, not over representing it. Its one of the strongest substances on the planet, far superior to Kevlar, and even the protein mix they use to create it is powerful but not where its full strength comes from. They actually weave it in a way that makes it even stronger.
Then you have the fact that they have sensors in their hairs, specifically at the root. They have I believe it is six or more nerves attached to the base of these hairs making them so sensitive, that they can detect photons, not wind or vibrations, but actually photons. They have other sensors in their legs that can detect the most miniscule vibrations as well.
Its quite insane.
Praying mantis. They seem to be able to think.

I once came across a huge one. They are pretty fearless. For the heck of it, I caught and maimed a grasshopper (still moving) and handed it to the Mantis. It gauged fight or flight, then saw the yummy grasshopper, snatched it out of my hand and ate it like an ear of corn. Then it just stood there. I gave it another one. It seemed to "get" it.
now I want one as a pet. I feel like i'd be a smarter person by having one. like I learn from it like some great philosopher.
I don’t really have a favourite... but we have tonnes of caterpillars on an orange tree at the moment (like hundreds) that will turn into dainty swallowtree butterflies

My favourite insect is the bee cause I think its one of the most useful insects in the world - I also like lady bugs since they eat pests
lady bugs are real bangers...

I would rate a regular honey bee to my favorite. I will scream like a little girl if I wind up with a spider on me. I am sure that it's a funny sight to see a 6'1" 205 lbs man running with arms flailing about and screaming. I wouldn't know how it looks. I am too busy running screaming and flailing my arms.
daw, some spiders aren’t too bad. I definitely don’t like no surprise visits from them tho.
I will accept any snake in any part of the world. Set me on snake island I am fine. Take a pet trianchula out of its terrarium and I am gone.
i have a rose hair tarantula. super sweet. they definitely clear a room real fast tho lmao. I guess their looks can be a little deceiving to most
Ants are pretty cool. I used to watch this one channel on YouTube called AntsCanada. He has a bunch of different ant colonies and I thought it was pretty cool. Also watched some Kurzgesagt videos on ants recently and I was reminded how insane they are.
I remember watching an ant documentary at like 4am. Apparently they brutally murder all of the queen ants when they get tired of them. They’re evil little bastards
That's what makes them so interesting.
agreed!

Jumping spiders are fucking adorable.
And yes I know they aren't insects.
Jumping spiders are one of my favorites for sure.
I think it's great that you've met Barry. Bees like him are our friends and pollinate all kinds of plants and stuff we eat. It's cool that he's basically sweet but with a bit of attitude. 🐝
Very true (:
Any bugs that are helpful
Lady bugs
Butterflies
Honey bees
Praying mantises
My favorite insects are ones that stay out of my house :D
You might have to start calling him William the Wasp.
Butterflies are very pretty and like to flit, just like me. So I will go for that.
I would if he were a wasp lol.
Butterflies are very nice tho.
maybe a little bit but not enough for me to care.
I’d be wary of it alright, if you aren’t used to getting stung or bit lol. with all my animals I’ve grown a tolerance for it.
Barry kind of enjoys his personal space but I’ll be sure to work on it in the future.
i love spiders, i have some small ones in my house, i see them and i dont kill them, because when flies sneak into my crib, i got my defense 🙂
Bees... they are the best and sad day when there will be no more bees
Spiders. I love spider fighting.
oh hellll nah, dog... yalll can keep that spider stuff in a furnace...
It's not my fault the asker asked and it's not my fault you came here just to get butthurt. If you don't want to read anyone's opinion, you can step back
Oh sorry i thought you were saying "y'all can keep that to yourself" I'm a half asleep
i ain't butthurt... that's for the MGTOWs... i just don't like spiders anyhwere near me especially dangerous ones
Bees
Butterflies
Ladybugs
All three are super cute
I like huntsman spider in my place ( as long as there are not too many of them) they are natural good predator for cockroachee.
Cockroaches - Because all I need to do is plug out the roaches, and than I can have around 1cm cock running around.😝😝
Barry was kind enough to share his name with you? Thats beeutiful

Bees, essential hard workers for the whole environment.
The praying mantis, they are just beautiful
agreed. flower mantises are extremely beautiful.
I like all insects but Praying mantis is my favorit.
European praying mantis.
Aww cutie. Bees or moths
I guess bees are kind of cool.
i like snails and rollie pollies...
snails are adorable
they totally are... they have a nice clean shell to handle them by... they make an intresting sparkly slime trail... they're predicable and don't move too fast unless you're not watching them
Mentus... I love the way it moves and stares.
I don't like them especially Spiders
Butterfly, fireflies
I loveee both of those. super fun to catch
Yeah 🥰🥰🦋🦋
i've never seen fireflies with my own eyes... but i've always wanted to
@LEADFOOTboi i have seen them irl
i think i heard they're in the midwest? or the same place chiggers are... BUT I STILL WANNA SEEE THEMM... do they just mill about in the air like in depictions and cartoons of them or do they go places?
@LEADFOOTboi i am from india, they are generally found in forest and rarely comes to city so once in a blue moon i see them
is it like a jungle? or what kind of forest?
Yeah like jungle
is that where the guys make underground pools?
they’re right in my backyard here in Cali. I see them all lit up flying around when it starts getting dark.
@LEADFOOTboi i don't know about that, but i find them when i go to dense forest or during monsoon season
@qxeenrrose you are lucky , you get to see such a beautiful site 🤗🤗
@qxeenrrose WHAAAAAAAAT? I'M HERE IN CALI TOO AND I ain't NEVER SEEN EM... are you fibbin?
@Sparkling_Star you be careful out there in the rainy season... flash floods can be dangerous

Bugs
like bee's, butterflies, and ants. There are lots of them
Maybe a caterpillar.
@OceanMelon ain't lizards a form of marmoset?
@LEADFOOTboi Aren't marmoset monkeys?
@OceanMelon nope... i'm pretty sure marmoset's are lizards
@LEADFOOTboi Just look it up
@OceanMelon no, ma'am... i believe that lizards and marmosets are synonyms... change my mind
@LEADFOOTboi The marmoset, also known as a zaris, are twenty-two New World monkey species of the genera Callithrix, Cebuella, Callibella and Mico. All four genera are part of the biological family Callitrichidae. The term marmoset is also used in reference to the Goeldi's marmoset, Callimico goeldii, which is closely related.
Most marmosets are about 20 centimetres long (which is 8 in) . Relative to other monkeys, they show some apparently primitive features: they have claws rather than nails, and tactile hairs on their wrists. They lack wisdom teeth, and their brain layout seems to be relatively primitive. Their body temperature is unusually variable, changing by up to 4 °C (7 °F) in a day. Marmosets are native to South America and have been found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru. They have also been occasionally spotted in Central America and southern Mexico. They are also raised in captivity as pets.
There also sorta cute
@LEADFOOTboi Lizards are called reptiles
@OceanMelon... there is no "new world"... that article you coppied is FAKE... i don't believe you... plus reptiles only live underground
@LEADFOOTboi Ok, I see you're a complete idiot
@LEADFOOTboi The marmosets exhibits germline chimerism, which is not known to occur in nature in any primates other than callitrichids.] 95% of marmoset fraternal twins trade blood through chorionic fusions, making them hematopoietic chimeras.
If you don't know what chimerism is look it up.
If you can't look it up, chimerism is its a is a single organism composed of cells with more than one distinct genotype. In animals, this means an individual derived from two or more zygotes, which can include possessing blood cells of different blood types, subtle variations in form (phenotype) and, if the zygotes were of differing genders then even the possession of both female and male sex organs. Animal chimeras are produced by the merger of multiple fertilized eggs.
Another way that chimerism can occur in animals is by organ transplantation, giving one individual tissues that developed from a different genome. For example, transplantation of bone marrow often determines the recipient's ensuing blood type. Which I don't suggest doing.
Also this can accrue in humans.
@OceanMelon... CHIMERAS are mythical monsters, i'd stay away from em if i was you
@LEADFOOTboi Chimerism got its name because it is a combination of other cells creating a new animal (or plant or features to something) like the mythical creature Chimeras because it is a mixture of different animals.
And yes I know to stay away from them.
@OceanMelon good girl... and stay in schoool... you'll learn what reptiles really are
@LEADFOOTboi I pity you not know what reptiles are.
@LEADFOOTboi What do you think reptiles are anyways?
@OceanMelon reptiles live underground like moles, gophers, worms, ground squirrels BUT NOT TREE SQUIRRELS, some spiders, meer cats
@LEADFOOTboi Reptiles are those animals with scales
@OceanMelon like fish?
@LEADFOOTboi Fish also have scales but they live under water. Reptiles are those scally animals that are on land. like snakes and lizards.
@OceanMelon fish can also live underground, so they can be reptiles i think... AND OOOOOOHHHH dragons have scales and can live underground... cuz caves count as underground
@LEADFOOTboi Yeah actually cave can count as under ground.
@OceanMelon THIS MEANS THAT BEARS ARE HYBRID REPTILES AND EQUINE
@LEADFOOTboi Equine are horses and bears live in caves that are above ground. I mean fish that live in underwater caves.
@LEADFOOTboi How well did you pay attention in school?
@OceanMelon horses can equine, but not strictly... they can live underground too... we just established that caves count as underground, no going back now
@LEADFOOTboi No not all caves are under ground bears can't get to those ones. and equine is the species name which includes horses, mules, and donkeys.
i do very well in school @OceanMelon...
@LEADFOOTboi Seriously, are you just joking around or do you actually not know much about animals?
@OceanMelon ok... ok... i'll come clean... i'm lightly trolling... don't crucify me please
@LEADFOOTboi Nah its ok
@OceanMelon gave me a bit of a brain flex tho, i gotta admit, i never knew what a chimera is exept the dangerous one
@LEADFOOTboi Thanks. You actually made me believe you were dumb.
@OceanMelon wow... i'm that good of an actor? i should go to hollywood
@LEADFOOTboi I'd be your biggest fan.
@OceanMelon awwwwwwwww... thats adorable... i'd make sure to autograph anything you wanted at almost any time...
@LEADFOOTboi Thanks
@OceanMelon no no no... thank you for believeing in me Q W Q
