Be as specific as you can about the exact shade. The more descriptive, the better. Saying simply "blue" for instance, is vague. Be specific. You don't need the exact word or colour name, but you do need to at least describe it. Feel free to describe why you like it, too.

 Brighter tones can get a bit rambunctious but somehow the sense of humour and playfulness attached to it justified the volume
 Vibrant orange seems to be in constant, outward physical motion, much like the extroverts and kids who revel in it

I'm a winter when it comes to clothing. I like bright colors but need to steer clear of warm colors. I gravitate toward reds. So I like blue reds like maroon. I think red plays into my love of dynamism and the dramatic. To your question, I guess I'll pick maroon. Aside from clothing, I like it better than orange-reds. I'd love to hear your analysis.

Orange and yellow may be my least favorite. I won't wear yellow shirts. Yet my wife and I painted our dining room in a sort of faux-distressed mustard yellow/terra cota with darker shades on the ceiling and I love it. It feels sunny, cheerful and sort of Mediterranean. We carried the ceiling color into the kitchen but painted the walls a sort of brick red. It gives a sort of Latin American feel.

I like greens. I love the entire spectrum of greens in the natural world. In my home and choice of clothing, though, I have to stay away from yellow greens. Our living room is a sort of darkish sage green with a shade of brown that has dark green undertones on the ceiling. It's really peaceful. I like the feel of an English gentleman's study.

Our bedroom is a sort of azure with a ceiling and window seat area of the same value but a cornflower tint. It's quite soothing and the contrast changes delightfully depending on the light.

I love color. It's hard for me to pick a favorite because any color by itself would be boring. They are best when contrasted against each other. It's like adding red, purple and white flowers to a garden full of yellow flowers. Suddenly it feels vibrant and joyful.

I am not that familiar with something called the Colour Affects Theory. (Pseudoscience?)
 Theory developed by Angela Wright which asserts there are four personality types based on colour schemes identified by the Bauhaus artist Johannes Itten
 The colours associated with each type are based on the colours of nature and are those to which individuals of this type are naturally attracted

Yes, you could call that a forest green, also aka hunter or racing green (from the British foxhound days, and this later became the sports car classic) which is just a smidge deeper than emerald.

Interestingly, I like your choice of combining the bright warmth of the yellow with the heat and playfulness of the orange with the deep coolness of the forest green. These make a nice counterpoint to each other (not that they have to be used together, but they obviously easily can.) I would say mine might change a bit - Normally I am drawn towards green but today when I looked at your chart I was drawn to Oxblood - Greens are ok but they just seemed a bit bland for my current mood - I thought bright red for heightened emotions (probably lockdown effect) but I always insist on bringing my head along so it toned into Oxblood.

I LOVE oxblood. I had a leather handbag of this colour once long ago and when a metal foot came off the bottom and it got a bit worn, I decided to get rid of it, and I don't know what I was thinking. I've always regretted that. Who knew genuine leather would become such a rarity.

Yes, that is a teal. It is considered a complex colour (somewhat different than a primary, but also because of the particular blend.) It is quite versatile and accepted by both genders, being neither too feminine nor masculine.

Sapphire is a jewel tone, one of several. It is very similar, could also be known as Royal blue.

Yes, our preferred colour is cobalt, aka royal. I confirmed, and they seem pretty much synonyms, and indistinguishable. This is a bolder, more intense, more saturated version of a blue. It is almost electric, but not quite. This adds a level of energy to an otherwise more sedate colour.

I'll defend it somewhat by saying your phrase of "total crap" is too extreme, because colours go into the retina and vibrate, creating an agitation at varying wavelengths, and our eyes see the different colours more easily or with more difficulty, depending on where they sit in that spectrum of light (yellow being the easies to see.) So there is biological/physiological foundation to colour.

However colour theory is a science and does not, technically, include personality. I knew people are always far more interested in having their personalities assessed, not technical knowledge about colour, etc. So I combined the two.

So there's something to it, but I don't believe it's gospel either. But I also don't put it in the trash with pseudoscience, as per my description above.

And I'm not forcing this on anyone or trying to indoctrinate anyone. I'm more interested in theory in design. You could at least recognize me taking the time to provide info to you.

I like this as well. It is warm and comforting but with some added depth (a touch more gravitas) than a bright yellow-orange, which it is not. Although oranges are playful, this makes it a tad more mature.
Oranges like this are often paired with a deep, cool purple because they are opposite each other on the colour wheel and therefore compliment each other very well, in their opposite-ness. This tension creates energy, and this is why you will often see it used in sports logos. You can also pair it nicely with brown and it will create less tension and more cohesion.

Red is the colour of blood. Red is also one of the four basic colours, the four being red, yellow, blue and green.
In colour psychologic analysis a preference for red is an attraction to a colour deemed an indication of self-motivation, desire to act. The other three primary colours with significant psychological meanings include blue, indicating a need or preference for calm; those who prefer green have been deemed to have need to assert oneself, and those attracted to yellow have been deemed to have a need to stand out from others.
Negatives for red-preferring people can be a tendency to be quickly and suddenly frustrated.
Of all the colours, red is most associated with the sex drive (no, I'm not kidding), and the senses, and a need for action, of impulse- so someone who loves red may be impulsive, make quick decisions, are spontaneous, have an extra zip, vitality, preferring action over inaction. It could also indicate that you tend to stress easily and prefer/require a nice clean slate/environment on which for your life to play out. Do you find you get over-stimulated/sytem-overload easily?

 There are very few pure whites occurring in nature. Most are off-whites. Who can resist appreciating puffy marshmallowy clouds and pristine white snow

I LOVE oxblood. I had a leather handbag of this colour once long ago and when a metal foot came off the bottom and it got a bit worn, I decided to get rid of it, and I don't know what I was thinking. I've always regretted that. Who knew genuine leather would become such a rarity.

Anyway, I'll give you some specific oxblood information. I'll do more basic red info on another's q.

Oxblood:
 Oxblood leans more toward red and yellow, while burgundy leans more toward violet. Oxblood is slightly warmer than burgundy, with brown-orange as opposed to violet-blue

If you like both colours, indigo is a very nice blend of the two - a purpley blue.

I believe this indicates you are serious, reflective, introspective, with a preference for deep, concentrated thinking. Also quite challenging, as it is considered a complex colour and although it is liked by both men and women quite equally and not gender-specific preferred, it is a challenging colour to work with and reflects a tension, combining blue and red, although with a larger portion of blue which is mellowing.
