Actually, your statement that even the thought of hugging another male "gross (es) me out", I might swing the other way and wonder if you might be a little homophobic. Also due to the new information and realizing you were asking the question from a different motivation, like a reassurance and attempt to distance yourself as much as possible from homosexuality.

I use to be homophobic in the past and racist, but I grew out of that now i more accepting of gay people
