When I first heard that discussion, I became very angry, because I was thinking of truth as fact, because that's what Americans are accustomed to thinking.
"... the evidence I shall give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." - from the Oath/Affirmation before giving sworn testimony
But no one knows all of the facts, all you can do is give your perception of the facts.
Thus, truth relies heavily upon belief (of the individual). Religion exists because people take the beliefs as truths. Which, for believers, they are; yet, those "truths" are seldom factual.
So, to answer your question, yes, "Truth is always interesting," because even if it doesn't give you facts, it gives you insight into the individual.

Yes :) Truth is more interesting in my opinion because if someone asks a question you're not ready to deal with it can get very uncomfortable. When I was a teenager I was terrified of truth I'd rather do some stupid shit than have someone ask me something in front of anyone because there was no knowing what they'd ask. Now I'm more relaxed and I know myself better but there's probably still questions that could surprise me.
