Did you ever own or play PlayStation 1 before? If so what was your favorite game on this console?

By the time the PlayStation and n64 came out i went the ps1 route for awhile in the mid 90s it blew my mind with the new style of graphics. Abd the rpgs on this system are so many. I definitely enjoyed this on so much. Its gonna be 26 years old this year since it launched in September 1995 in the United States. So many great iconic games got their debut on here like Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy 7. I think its my 2nd biggest game collection so far after my nes games.

I think PS1 is my most favorite console. I just have so many favorites there.

Ape Escape, Megaman 8, Megaman X4, X5 and X6, Tenchu, Breath of Fire 3, Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3, Crash Team Racing, Crash Bash, Final Fantasy 7, Metal Slug X, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Brave Fencer Musashi and Threads of Fate (the last 2 games I mentioned are underrated gems)

Didn't have my own, one of my friends had , i spent a lot of time playing the classics of course plus a lot of football (winning eleven) so basicly i have the same list as you. Silent hill, RE and Tom raider were my top 3. Silent hill is so good they made stranger things first season with the same concept

FF 7!!! Also this other really cool game that's relatively unknown called Jade Cocoon. It was kinda like Pokemon but you could merge your creatures to give them new (and sometimes terrifying 😂) appearances and new moves. Also the battle music was really cool.

The PS1 came out before I was born, but the system lives on through emulation. My android tablet has a near-perfect PS1 emulator, I have 103 games downloaded for it. Most are RPG's like the Final Fantasy series, Dragon Quest series, the Persona series, Lunar, Grandia, Chrono Chross, Suikoden 1 & 2, Star Ocean series, Wild Arms 1 & 2, etc.
I also love Capcom's Biohazard series, a. k. a., Resident Evil, and other games like it, also the Twisted Metal series.

My all-time favorite PS1 game was Final Fantasy 7, which had the best story of the series.
I say "was" because now I have Final Fantasy 7 : Remake Intergrade for the PS5, and once I experienced the enhanced graphics and expanded story, I could not go back to the original.

Yes, we only had a couple games, but we used to rent games from Blockbuster/Hollywood Video all the time and my cousin would bring all his games whenever he stayed over on the weekends. From what I recall, Frogger and Spyro were played the most. 😅
