in the closing credits it will nearly always say ''no actual animals were harmed in the production of this motion picture''. if they did animal rights activists would be up in arms and the movie would bomb so most of it will be dummy animals or cgi. one exception is 'old boy' where a guy is eating live octopus but its often prewarned at the start and its korean i think so not quite hollywood

Generally, no; not any more. There are pretty strict laws governing how they're treated. That wasn't always the case, though, and accidents DO happen. And I'm sure many of the caterers (or equivalents) do serve meat and cheese, which naturally requires animals to be killed (though not tortured).

No there are laws and no one would want to see a movie where an animal is actually being tortured and killed anyway.

I hope you are right. But some scenes look so realistic.

No but I heard that might have been the case for that one movie, cannibal holocaust.

No, there's a rule against harming animals in movies, and it's strictly enforced. Most of the time, there is an animal handler on set to make sure the animals are treated fairly.

If you look carefully at the credits at the end of the movie, there is usually a sentence like:

"No animals were harmed in the making of this movie."

1000% guaranty and not only animals, humans as well, especially kids. Hollywood is an Occult system. You asking this question in the first place, is telling me that you either already know that or have a strong suspicion about what is really going on behind closed doors.

I do have my suspicions because recently there's some controversies regarding the movie The power of the dog. And some scenes in other movies look pretty realistic and accurate and it got me wondering.

If the movie is made in America probably not but if it is a foreign film there are lots of countries that do not have strict laws against animal cruelty.

Only if you're Disney pushing lemmings off a cliff. But I'm pretty sure that was the 50s so laws have been updated since then.

No, not any more. But animal abuse was common many decades ago. I don't think any torture occurred intentionally though.

I don't think so, but what some people do to them in real life is far worse.
