i love old 1950-1960's scifi

they find out the old forgotten planet they are on, is Earth.. the starting place for Humanity's voyage to the stars

The space battle between the pirates and the last Ranger supply ship full of families still makes me cry! The pilot off loads the families, blasts off and ends up ramming the pirate ship and blowing up the Tonite energy reactor on his ship, saving about 100 families..

I love "Monster" by Frank Peretti. I'm not usually a fan of Christian fiction because it tends to be a bit cheesy but this one's different. The protagonists are Christian, but they're more real than some of his other work.
