Did you ever read any Curious George as a kid?

Curious George is the main character of a series of popular children's books and TV series of the same name, written by Margret and H. A. Rey. George (who is referred to as a monkey in the books) was brought from his home in Africa by "The Man with The Yellow Hat.” They are best friends and they live together in "the city" and "the country".

I’ve obviously heard of him, but I was in England for the first 6yrs of my life, and although I believe the books are sold there, I don’t think they are as popular as they are here in the States!
