I think that's simplifying it a bit. I believe that you are in very large parts shaped into a reflection, a product or consequence of the surroundings you've had throughout your life - however you wanna put it, but the scope of that is so big that I don't believe that you can just ask someone what they like to listen to or do as a hobby, and then deduce from that exactly what sort of person they are.
