Around 1991/1992 me and two friends started training at Iron Mike Sharp's Wrestling School located in Brick, NJ. While it was an experience, after about a year or so of driving from Hillsborough to the school three times a week, getting to the gym and putting in forty hours got to be too much, so I made the executive decision to hang up my tights as a pro wrestler, but I didn't want to quit without having some sort of semi-official match in front of a crowed. Luckily, Sharpe was financing a show to promote his students and is where Lord Bane, a growling, shaggy-headed barbarian goofball, would make his first and last appearance, a match I was destined to lose to bump up Super Nova, my opponent (who I believe is still in the business).

Anyway, he went out to Queen's "We Will Rock You". I went out to the slow and ominous crawl (from :28 to 1:25) of My Dying Bride's "Sear Me", off their As the Flower Withers lp, which was just released.

I think, however, if I had to do it again, I'd go with the first thirty seconds of Incantation's "Rotting Spiritual Embodiment" from their Onward to Golgotha lp, also of '92 (link won't work).

The intro to "The Final Countdown". Yeah, it's cheesy as hell, and is more 80's than 1980 itself, and the heavy synthesizer sound has aged like sour cream, but more than once, I've been tempted to take up wrestling just to use it. It's just so... perfect.
