Yes it does. Especially where politics and religion are concerned. A celebrity or artist should stay in their lane and not use their platform to try to influence others politically or religiously. They are entertainers, not politicians. It is not their job to spread political or religious causes unless they are in a specific genre of music that calls for it.
I used to LOVE Taylor Swift's music until she showed her liberal views. Once she started trying to use her fame to advance her political views she lost ALL respect from me and I cannot listen to her music.
Same with Lady Gaga. She has a lot of talent, but as soon as she started attacking the Christian faith in her music she lost ALL respect for me. Even if it was another religion she attacked, she still would have lost my support because she is stepping out of her lane to be excessively mean to a certain group of people.
Celebrities should stick to their music, movie roles, etc. and not try to use their position to sway others. Save the personal stuff for your personal life.
Subconsciously it does.
If I ever hear a celebrity say or do something that offends me I probably won't watch or buy their movies, or listen to their music etc.
I guess I do take their personalities seriously, and I'm not gonna support anyone who wouldn't like me for whatever reason, I'm sensitive like that. I also used to research some of my celebrity crushes occasionally to see their dating history.
I refuse to even fantasize about a woman who doesn't even date White guys ever, lol.
I can separate the artist from the person. I'll give you a very good example I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson as a performer and an artist. Do I like him as a person? Absolutely not, he did horrendous things.
Is Meghan Fox really and "artist" who has "work"? I mean...

Sometimes. Depends how shitty of a person they are.
Yes; one example is Martin Sheen.
Normally, it's the other way around - you see an actor always portraying the same kind of characters on screen, and naturally start to believe that's what they're like in real life.
But then, I watch a lot of movies, and don't watch TV or follow celebrity news at all (couldn't care less who is dating who in Hollywood).
I mean if anyone say's it don't after Amber Heard then they are lying no?
Yes, it does.
If an entertainer runs off at the mouth supporting leftard causes I will refused to watch anything in which that person appears.
It is the same with professional sports. I used to wear Nike, or Adidas. Now, Hell will freeze over before shoes from those companies touch my feet again.
I will not use a Gillette product again.
The list goes on and on.
Mostly no; certainly not for scientists, inventors and songwriters. However, I probably am influenced by the personalities of actors and maybe the president and other politicians.
Depends if it sinks into it
Art can be butiful but found out to have some horrible meaning behind it when a personallity is exposed
Essentially they are made famous because they are both Douchebag's
When they get too involved in politics it can ruin their movies for me. I can't even enjoy watching Robert Dinero movies anymore and he used to be in my top 15 most favorite actors.
Yeah, to an extent. I'm not going to stop enjoying someone's work just because of their personality, but it will change the way I interpret their creations.
sometimes, yes it will...
other times, I don't care or won't even know much about the personal side of their lives in the first place, lol
Not at all.
Many of the best actors and singers are insufferable assholes but they produce good work.
It never used to but now I just cannot see anything with Robert DiNiro and other moonbats in it.
outside of their "job," could give a tinker's damn about what any celeb thinks or says.
It does for me.
Excuse me (🤮) Okay, back. That was a harsh life experience for.. almost everyone.
A đź•·that girl.
She burned a sweet boy from my hometown, badly. And several other decent men after him. She gives woman a bad rep like that, brings out my momma bear. Now she’s known she’s off my radar.
Truth. These were just local facts. I stopped listening when she hit the press.
It a
makes the head between my legs think.
Yeah I don't like them if they r mean
No; unless they're an actor.
Yes it does
