In no particular order:
Alice in Wonderland is still a very unique and quirky movie that still holds up well. It doesn't actually have much of what makes a good story, but the abundance of unforgettable parts overshadows that fact. Princess and the Frog is, in my opinion the last time Disney did animated movies right, and I went into this one with mediocre expectations. Instead it gave me false hope that Disney was returning to its roots. Robin Hood was always my favorite as a kid, and somehow finding out that a woman I had a crush on in college liked this one the most too later evolved into a relationship. Aladdin has probably the best overall story of any Disney animated production, plus solid music and Robin Williams' genie is a crackup. Fantasia (the original, not 2000) was the first movie my parents bought me on VHS. I also blame it for why I wanted to play music in school and mainly listened to classical music up until probably 10th grade or so. And the runner up is a tie between Fox and the Hound and Treasure Planet. Fox and the Hound is just a unique movie as a whole, while Treasure Planet is a creative take on a live action Disney classic that just barely got beaten out by Aladdin on my list for story quality.
Yeah, Aladdin will always be in my top 5 just off song quality lol
Never really liked Disney much; that's more of a girl thing, but...
Aladdin
The Lion King
Mulan
Spirited Away
... And really I'd be fine with just those four, but let's also add in Wall-E.
If Pixar movies were on here, I'd add in Toy Story 1-3, The Incredibles, and Monsters Inc.
Lol Disney is not a "girl" thing
I'm definitely a disney fanatic! I love watching the movies! But if I had to choose 5 it would be:
Beauty and the beast
Finding Nemo
The little mermaid
WALL-E
A goofy movie
Yay for Disney!
A Goofy Movie, Lady & The Tramp, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, and Robin Hood ❤❤❤
Was pretty easy for me to pick lol.
Goofy Movie ganggg

That list was not big enough, and my favorites where not on it

There are two studio ghibli films among this disney films, Ponyo and Chihiro.
But i would keep
Nemo
Aladin (the old one)
Mulan (Also the old one)
WallE
Jungle book or Robin Hood (Haven't seen these in a while so tough choice)
101 Dalmatians (would not hear last of it if did not lol).
Aristo cats.
Aladdin.
Finding Nemo
now if Brave counts (Pixar released by Disney) then Brave.
If not it’s Cinderella (as Cinders is great).
Lol even I would've looked at you sideways if 101 Dalmatians wasn't on your list
Spirited Away! <-- not Disney
Ponyo! <-- Not Disney
Threw a couple Studio Ghibli in there and that makes it easy.
My Neighbor Totoro absolutely!!! - put that in there.
Howl's Moving Castle
Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind
Listen just pick 5 of these damn movies sir!
HA! :D
Ok I get it you are decluttering and can't make up your kids mind for him. And can't rip them to a hard drive. I get it.
Going by content / movie morals / animation quality / story quality and verious settings they can be used:
Spirited away
Ponyo
Aladdin
Pinocchio
Pocahontas
This was a quality post.
Thank you.
Sword and the Stone.
Snow White.
Mulan.
Robin Hood.
Sleeping Beauty.
With honorable mentions to:
Brave.
Tangled.
Thank you!
classics for me... Pinocchio, Bambi, Fantasia... Dumbo & Alice in Wonderland
Old schoooool
yep... haha
Bambi is depressing lol
I know... but it taught me about life, same as Pinocchio... haha
Lol Alice and Wonderland is good
yes, always liked it... and I used to dream about it all the time as well, lol
Dalmatians, Alice, James, Jungle, Tramp. You can flush the rest! Disney stopped making cool movies in the mid `70's. The only reason I'd take James is because of XTC being involved with the music.
Uhh absolutely not lol. A Goofy Movie is and always will be one of the best Disney movies ever.
The Love Bug was WAY better. The Flubber movies were cool. The ones with Bruce Kirby, Jr. and Kurt Russell were good, too.
Spirited away and I'm happy enough but for the sake of five
Lion king, Oliver and Co, Junglebook, lady and the tramp
I've never seen Spirited Away but it seems to be popular
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
My list would be:
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Fox and the Hound
3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
4. Lion King
5. Pocahontas
Those are the ones from my childhood that I watched over and over on VHS.
I've only seen Lion King and it was in school on one of the last days of the year, so the teacher just put it onto the TV. It was okay. Fell asleep though. I guess draw the other four names out of a hat or something.
What if I told you that I’ve never seen any of those?😅😂
I would immediately start questioning our friendship. IMMEDIATELY.
🤐😂
Lol not even A Goofy Movie Stevie? 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Lmao, Disney Channel cost extra when I was a kid so we didn’t have it. I just missed all that stuff, and just never got on the Disney train. I remember we went to Disney World when I was like 10, had a rough knowledge of Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, etc, but I don’t think it hit me the way it hit for other kids. I loved Flight Of The Navigator though, I think that was Disney. And I think Mary Poppins, too, I definitely saw that. Just missed the animated stuff. Seen enough pieces of The Lion King to maybe piece the story together, I guess😅
Lmao I mean, we didn't get Disney Channel until I was a teenager. But the classics are the classics man!! I guess it's different because I was reading the books long before I saw the movies.
AladdinThe Lion KingA goofy movie101 dalmatiansThe great mouse detective (not on your list, how shameful)
I mean The Brave Little Toaster isn't there either lol
Lol don't even play
1. Spirited Away
2. Lion King
3. Ponyo
4. Pocahontas
5. Mulan
Oh I didn't see Nemo. I'm switching out Mulan for Nemo. I loved Nemo so much!
Nemo was awesome
ikr lol
101 Dalmatians
Alladin
The Jungle Book
Peter Pan

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for not picking The Lion King. And I deserve it.
I won't judge you lol
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace Ok; thanks. Lol

I love the Disney Princesses. Belle is my favorite!

Jasmine is good, but Tiana isn’t one of the main 8. She’s not one of mine.

Good list
