Have you ever noticed this in tomcats? What caused it?

Some tomcats have a big, round face, with fat cheeks.. I wonder if that’s actually fat or just thickened skin? by the way i love to squish and pinch them though.
On the other side... Tabbies, they have smaller and slim face and no fat cheeks.

Happens in male unneutered cats mostly. Because they are tom cats, they tend to fight a lot and the skin thickens because of any injuries they have.
