Some superheroes, and supervillains like The Hulk, Juggernaut, Colossus, and The Beast got huge muscles, and they’re White. How come there aren’t much superheroes, and supervillains that have huge muscles aren’t Black?
Tim Hanley released a report in 2014 which estimates that about 80% of Marvel and DC super heroes are mostly white compared to a then 1.2% being black.
That number is absolutely disputed and often quoted to be more like 60% and 10%.
Regardless the number of characters alone explain why we see more heroes of one ethnicity with specific powers.
As for why this was it? Comics as known today were originally from a primarily caucasian background. Of course different artforms exist in every culture but few others focused on superheroes and supervillains. All of which wanted to appeal to their expected audience at the time, an audience that hss since changed and in keeping with the times is seeing more of the fanbase represented.
