Our grade 8 class went on a trip to Quebec for the weekend. We visited old Quebec city and the first thing we see as the bus rolls in is a homeless guy in the town square fountain taking out coins.

Things got better as I stepped off the bus accidentally dropped my money. Some guy walking by picked it up and kept walking. I called him to give me back my money.

“En francais.” He said meaning to ask in french. He clearly saw me drop it and was just being a french dbag. They hate the English. He waved my money in the air smirking

I said in English to return my cash.

“En francais.” He said again.

I think he suspected that being a grade 8 kid he had the advantage. Unfortunately for him there was 6 other grade 8 kids with me. We also came from a school located near downtown of our city. Most of us were street kids.

5 minutes later he was grovelling on the ground and I was saying “Apologize. In English.”

The only thing of note was that as a means of "mainstreaming" students with disabilities into regular schools (no doubt to save $$$), we had a blind girl at our school named R. B. (I still remember her actual name).

Her books and tests were in Braille, and she used a typewriter in the library for writing. She was an extremely smart girl, to the point that her spending a year at our school probably dropped her IQ by 10 points.

What I found amazing was her ability to recognize individual voices and identify the speaker by name- without fail.

I haven't thought about RB in 50 years. Thanks for the question.

In 8th grade I sat in front of a girl in our home room class and I always tried to make her laugh. I would pretend that chocolate milk made me crazy and once I drank it I would chase her around. Then we would talk after school on the landline telephone for hours about stupid things like the show Full House, and the underwear section of the Sears catalogue.

Sure. I used to eat a corn dog and have a Pepsi for lunch in 8th grade.

I can't remember exactly if it was near the end of 8th grade or the beginning of 9th grade, but I had finally saved up enough money for over a year to buy a Sega Saturn and a couple games. It was awesome! :) I still have it too.

Yeah a bully kept poking me or something I told him stop he never did so one day I sharpened a pencil then waited for him to start his shit after 1 warning it was fair game so next time he tried I stabbed his arm so hard that he was bleeding and I didn't get in trouble

Bruh, I was so horny during the 8th grade I remember asking out 20 different girls during the year got turned down each time and out of those 20 I think 15 were goth girls 🥵🥵😂😂

eww no. I try not to think about 8th grade too much. That's when the girls in p. e. saw me naked, and when almost everybody, boys and girls, were carried away with sack tapping- trying to hit all the guys in the balls.
