Why are some people mad that the main character of GTA 6 will be female?

Apparently the new GTA 6 will be more politically correct, and the main character will be a woman. Some people are complaining about it. But really, who better to run red lights and mow down pedestrians than a woman driver?

Naturally that'll make up for the millions of women beaten and murdered in previous versions. Rockstar had some serious issues with their culture previously. They are addressing this, and it will take time. And this is a part of that process.


Of course Im not that interested in GTA, when they could just put the development budget into making RDR3

Well I guess you've come to the game recently. There used to be npc prostitutes that teen boys would hunt down and beat up, there's even videos on YouTube of them doing it the same isn't true for npc men. You're also ignoring the hugely sexist culture that was poisoning Rockstar.

I know the prostitutes.. Like I mentioned it's just a game.. I'm pretty sure they killed the gang bangers too.. Also, I watched a YouTuber who has a girl hunt down and beat up the prostitutes.. But they also hunt down and kill other players too in the online version.. It's just a free for all in that game really.. And no I don't much about Rockstar the company..

I read the article and the first thing that popped up was the "gender pay gap".. Which let's be honest is a baseless talking point at this stage.. They always mention it without going into details.. They just put out these percentages and don't explain them, but keep them vague to make a narrative..

Well, they're mad because they're worried that she'll be another one of those fourth-wave characters: absolutely sexless and always fucking going on and on about how women are better than men in every way.

We already have one Horizon: Zero Dawn. We don't need another one with cars instead of robot dinosaurs.

I don't got anything against it but I hope there's at least a guy character I can choose considering I'm a dude and I want a dude character, it would suck if I can only play as a chick, there's many games I choose female characters like dead by daylight, evil dead, it's all good but gta isn't one of the games I'd want to play as a girl character, either that or I'm just going to have to mutt online

They probably figure this is Rockstar trying to appeal to a niche audience.. Plus, GTA has had a tradition of being male since most of the players are male.. But I don't think people are that upset about it.. Just a few..
