- A character does something stupid for no reason other than to move the plot along.

- A person changes their mind for no apparent reason other than to move the plot along.

- A person acts like an asshole for no reason other than to move the plot along.

- A bad guy raises the knife and is about to strike but is suddenly, at the last second, interrupted.

- Lack of any clear boundaries when science or magic are used so they can fail or succeed at the writer's arbitrarily digression.

- Science or magic save the day without any training.

- Cringy sex scenes.

- "The chosen one" plot.

- "The orphan" plot.

- "Newbee saves the day" plot.

- Overpowered villains or protagonists.

- Unrealistically overpowered women.

- Plot arc based on a misunderstanding that can get cleared by by a simple phone call.

- Bad/good guy shows up knowing everything about the situation they just walked into to do exactly what is required to save/ruin the day.

- Disabled character has no struggles with a disability.

Another really bad one is when characters get killed but they aren't really dead, they get fixed up in some way and brought back to life, thus making death have no consequences.

Author self-inserted main characters. Also the related excessively boring main character intended for readers to see themselves as.

Illogical Plot shifts or immersion-breaking situations, usually a failed attempt to be clever, or merely a product of frustration. Inconsistency.

Antagonists who are evil for the sake of being evil and don't attempt to justify themselves or give any explanation to motives.

In fact, writing that comes across as parody or satire but takes itself too seriously is worth a dishonorable mention as well.

The "she just has to get to know him..." It sets guys up for stalker behavior and girls to expect a guy to still pursue after the initial "no." A guy should respect a no, and a gall shouldn't play "hard to get." That's rapey.

I hate a character that speaks a nonsense language and everyone understands what it’s saying and it understands what other people are saying, and I just hate that “wow what a whacky character!” thing
