superfluous, not many English words poetically flow but this one does. It dances off the tongue and is a joy to say. Wellness, wtf does this even mean? Can you even use it in a sentence?

Probably ‘cunt’ because I just browsed other answers here, and remembered I used to hateee that word.

Today, there’s not really any word I hate..

Maybe ‘White-Privilege,’ if it counts as a word. Hate it because it’s a “color thing”that’s unnecessary, and hate ‘cunt’ because it just seems rude and it doesn’t even sound or look appealing.

Favorite word would be ‘Stupendous.’ I have an attachment to that word, from my youth, because I was the first one to use that word and know of it, from my class, and first in my family. If felt great and amazingly grand, as well- classy.

If there’s a phrase I actually hated, it was:

“That’s life.” Because of how people said them and their lack of compassion in saying that. The sense of defeat and indifference.

I really turned that phrase around for myself.

If people come to hate or love certain phrases or words- it would be because of how it was used, and who it was (primarily) used by- and what kind of character they may have had.

I revile the word "resilient". I didn't use to hate it. But it's become overused and underapplied. And, at least in the United States, it was adopted and abused by the corporate world. Suddenly everything and everyone had to be "resilient". Which, again, in the corporate world meant that you had to deal with whatever sh$t they want to throw at you and if you dealt with it you were somehow nobly resilient but if you weren't you needed to learn to be resilient. Blech. Make me hurl.

As for love? The word "elegant". Like @purplepoppy said about "superfluous", it "poetically flow[s]". It's at beautiful word. Indeed, it is elegant. I packs so much meaning and imagery into its seven small letters. It can transport you to Paris, or conjure visions of evening gowns and marble floors and serene leather seating. It is understated and far from flashy, yet simply and subtly ensnares and intoxicates the user and the reader.

I hate the word "panties." Don't know why. I think it's just the phonetics.

I like long words, with multiple syllables. Such as "synchronicity." (As well as the meaning.)

I loooove Latin.
