When you read or hear the word SEGA what do you think of (think of it before voting)?

I think of kids. Seriously, that's what I think of. Those "kids" would probably be in their late 40s and 50s now, but I think of them when they were kids.

I started playing games on personal computers when they first came out. Almost nobody had computers then. And that was before there were consoles like Sega. When the console game market started growing, I remember seeing young children playing games on console. I remember watching them and seeing how they were possessed by the game, almost oblivious to everything else around them.

I was seeing the beginnings of video game addiction. Worse, this was young children who should have been out running around and getting exercise.

To this day, I think of consoles being for kids. I know it's not just for kids, but that image is pretty strong with me. It's an image of kids glued to the game when they should be experiencing life.

Or, now I think of it, "Sega does what Nintendon't". (Memorable because mentioning competitors in adverts was a no-no in the UK at the time.

I always think of shoes and Sonic the Hedgehog. Whenever I see it, I think of a store called Ross because it was basically the exact same logo but it said Ross instead of SEGA. They got rid of it now
