Is the Nintendo Wii still worth buying?

I want to be an used Nintendo Wii system because I have a lot of games that I would like to play again.

It really never was. I was a huge Nintendo up until the GameCube, even though I still reluctantly bought one. But they lost me forever at the Wii, which was basically marketed as a kids toy that grandma could also play. Now they're doing that again with the Switch, which is just a glorified tablet.

All I wanted was from them was Nintendo version of the Xbox 360. Could play games and had reliable hardware. Nintendo sells itself on its IPs alone. (Although they're huge assholes when it comes to copyright and fan games.) They don't need all these BS gimmick consoles since the GameCube came out with it's awful mini-discs. They just need a basic-ass console with a good controller and that's it!

People buy consoles for the GAMES, and nothing more! Xbox learned that over the last ten years cause the X-bone and Series-X are ass. PS4 only did well due to Spider-Man, Last of Us 1, and Devil May Cry.

It's very worth it because there's still a market for Wii's after you're done with it. If you want to sell it, there are definitely smash players and speedrunners out there that will buy it off of you.

I would say if you have Gamecube games in your posession that you like playing it is worth it because of the backwards compatibility it has to play both Wii and Gamecube games.

N. b. I want to pick up a big immortal PS2 at somepoint so if I go to a sale and see one for £20 or so then I'll have one
