What do you think about amazon suspending negative audience review?

Your average, "professional" movie critic is payed off to say a show/movie is good in order to get you the audience to watch it. However, review websites often let the general audience give their opinion about the show.

Recently, amazon has been suspending and deleting accounts that give their new lord of the ring series a negative score with many people wanting to use the excuse that people are purposefully giving the show a poor rating (aka review bombing).

What do you think about the new form of censorship whereby audience aren't allowed to give their critique towards a show/movie?

Funny but I get why they did it. They spent so much money on it that they can't afford it to fail. Get woke go broke.

I am going to Amazon to buy something right now.

Unsure. I am a huge Tolkien fan. I found a lot to criticize in the first two episodes, but I have had discussions with many others who hate it and it is obvious that these people did not even watch it. If they could make sure that the people criticizing it had actually watched it then the reviews would be more accurate.

I think they spent a lot of money and don’t want to lose that investment. Therefore, whether the show is good or bad, they are going to tilt the table in a way that allows them to recover their financial interest.

Amazon is doing what YouTube started doing a year ago by hiding the number of DISLIKES. So what else is new?

That's not right, but I understand why they would do it.
