Like I’ve played some games that the way the mechanics worked I dipped out, I don’t personally count those.
For videogames that I actually sat down and took the time to learn and play, I’d say Halo 2 on Legendary. Like it was so hard, it just started feeling like I was playing SuperHot just running. Like turn a corner, OOPS I got shot by a sniper. Take two, OOPS, I got killed by the sniper, but now I know where it is. Take three OOPS, the sniper killed me before I could even shoot at it. Take 4, FINALLY! I got that snipe— shit, an enemy throws a grenade at me as I kill the sniper, I have to figure out how to dance around that!
But like every level, all over, “oh no, I’m out of good ammo and just have to start over with the knowledge that I need to be fully stocked up before I walk through that door.
So like it was super difficult for me, but I just kept playing and figuring out how to survive situations however I could. I remember having to shoot down Banshees in a particular way and just dying so much

Real Life.

The graphics are awesome unless you gain the "Bad vision" debuff. Then you need a constant source of "Vision correction" buff.

The world exploration is really great if you get spawned in a location with conserved nature mobs.

You have a high degree of freedom when choosing your main class and you can change your subclass later on during the gameplay. Oml the tutorial is a bit longer and takes 18 years.

However the premium currency can be be sometimes harder to obtain and requires a lot of AFK activities run using a script.

And a big disadvantage is that your spawn point and your stats are attributed randomly during your character creation and gaining new stat points and skills requires a lot of grinding.

Ancestors the humankind odyssey. It’s not so much that it’s difficult, but it is. It’s very tedious, repetitive and frustrating when you think you’re going forward but end up going backwards. In my last save I did an evolution jump in hopes I gained enough years (essentially experience) to have them auto move my camp forward and I ended up several paces backwards so that’s frustrating.

Fucking RUST. That game is one of the most hope draining time consuming activities out there. Its game that requires quick reactions, quick wit, good tactics and no mistakes when literally everything you have is on the line. You can easily get nowhere for a whole wipe and get dunked on my a 10 man clan, or you could be the king of the server and raid every mf in a 10km radius. Very cool game

Either Apex Legends, or Abe’s Oddesey. Probably Apex, I am an absolute Giga Chad now but at first I didn’t even shoot unless told too ☠️🐊☠️💀🦖. I’d even say I’m one of the PS4 players who have the best movement for this game. Everyone else I see who plays with a controller besides this one FNG is just so….. blAAAUGH

Rampart on the Sega Genesis. That is the only game that I tried to beat but couldn't back when I used to play it. I would always get to the last stage and then use all of my continues and barely lose.

Every other game that I ever tried to beat I was able to.

I'm gonna say it and before you say I'm dumb for this, don't have an opinion on this until you have become very good at the game. Rocket league is most definitely one of the games that require the most skill, the concept is so simple but there is a lot to the game then most realize it's very difficult to be good at. I would say the people that can genuinely have an opinion on this are people that are grand champion or super sonic legend which are the two highest ranks for those who don't know. Now just a little example I know everyone is different but me personally I have more than 90 days on the game I've played since like 2020 and I'm still just barley touching grand champion it is very difficult trust me give it a shot

Those last Stronghold Crusader crusade missions.

Stronghold Crusader 2 has cheating enemy AI's, so that kind of doesn't count.

Also call of duty games on Veteran difficulty.

I'm not going to play dark souls. Heard it's a very hard game and i don't have the patience nor time to beat such a game. I have a full time job after all.

I'm really into adventure video games: Amerzone, Syberia, The Longest Journey are some of the classics that I each found devastatingly difficult at that time when I was new to the genre. But it was truly rewarding when you managed to solve a puzzle and get the storyline moving. The most difficult and comlex game I played so far was Quern: Undying thoughts.
