The entertainment industry is destroying itself when they try to pander to a tiny fraction of the population, most of which do not appreciate being pandered to.

At this point, most of these legacy companies have already nuked themselves to the point they won't be able to win people back over. It's going to be a good market for new material soon, because original characters and stories untainted by this crap are in relatively high demand, while X franchise reboot "reimagined for modern audiences" are doomed to fail.

Few really buy comics anymore and those that do aren't in the 1-3% lgbtq bracket. You could make a comic book for any minority group you want including the generation boomer but if your depending on them buying it then you should go back to buisness school. Like can you see a trans woman black lesbian midget who is non-binary and studies feminist dance theory at NYU buying a comic book where a straight Christian Conservative white male who goes around bashing lgbtq folks and communists in the face? No you wouldn't think so.

As for all this woke promotion of lgbtq in the media, women in traditionally male gender roles in movies and replacing white charcters in historical TV and movies like in vikings is all well and good but you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

I love and grew up on Superman. The last time I check, Superman is not gay, and everyone knows that his one true love after Lana Line is Lois Lane which is why we have the hit tv show on CW, "Superman & Lois" (just like the throwback show "Lois & Clark" in the 90s). I know today we live in time where Homosexuality is the norm but that doesn't mean we have to change great comic Super heroes backgrounds just to make people happy. It's time to be creative and create new Super heroes in then if the artist wants to make them Homosexuals then that is their decision.

people like superman because he's an archetype, people can watch him without having to think about problems in the real world. if DC really cared about the LGBTQ+ community they would give them their own superhero instead they gave them something they knew would fail.

The audience is not afraid of diversity and inclusivity. In fact we welcome it. We hate existing lore being changed and used as a political weapon.

I don’t honestly care either way. Like do whatever you want with the super heroes, there’s like 70 years of comics and movies to pick from if it’s an issue to you. Like I dgaf if Superman is gay or black or a nonbinary person, that doesn’t matter to me
