Done purely to appease the vanity of detergent-eating vermin. Otherwise, zero logic to it. If his being straight is so reee-worthy, nothing was stopping the modern Gomorrahites from simply making an original character, and trying to make him a better-written modern alternative. And make that dude gay instead.

But those behind the push for a gay Superman aren't interested in doing or being better. They're vandals and thieves, who'd rather simply steal and desecrate a culture to feed their own egos, rather than contribute to making anything better.

They have an infantile-demonic envious mindset: "If it's not actual Superman, as OUR trophy, then it 'doesn't count'!" they screech.

This same band of thugs are also the ones trying to resurrect Hillary running for the White House again. They can't hide that Brandon is an absolute disgrace. But they want to virtue signal having the first woman president as something they take credit for, regardless if she's actually qualified!

They also know Kamala is one of the most across-the-board hated women in the world. So they have a mindset that if it isn't Hillary, it "doesn't count!"

Much like Brandon insisting on a black woman for Supreme Court, who is pedo-friendly. It's all about the demographic pandering, no matter the qualifications nor consequences!

This same mindset will never be content with ruining US politics forever, nor with gay Superman. It's a human plague of locusts, that won't rest until toasters are racist - and you're eating earthworms to survive!

It depends on the reasoning behind it. I don't have a problem with Superman being "gay" per se. But like for example I grew up reading Archie comics. I appreciate the creator of Archie comics having a Christian message. When the creator of Archie comics died it eventually passed to an owner who was a big supporter of gay rights. Again I don't have a problem with this. But the new owner decided to introduce gay characters and change Riverdale to be a champion of gay rights. The creator never would have allowed this. I think it's disrespectful to the creator to not only change his vision. But completely do the opposite of his vision.
This is what SOME people will never get. The Bible is against homosexuality! Try to whitewash it all you want. It'll STILL be a sin. I'm sorry, debate that with God if you like. I'll love you as my brother if you're gay. But I'll NEVER accept your BEING gay. You made that CHOICE to be gay. This isn't a debate. This is what IS. If you cannot accept that. Then YOU'RE the INTOLERANT one. 🙂

Honestly, DC needs to put theses characters out to pasture--a no-doubt very controversial opinion because they are so iconic that they basically are the superhero genre, as in "a superhero world without Batman or Superman is like cereal without milk. It's just wrong".

However, if we go by their canonical introductions into the timeline, both Batman and Supes would be in their mid 80s at this point. 80 years is a lot of Comics, and in that time, they've already done the Crisis on Multiple Earths, they've fought across multiverses, and against enemies with powers that warp the foundation of reality. Eventually, you get to a point where the stakes have been raised so high that you literally cannot go higher; and conversely, everything that isn't as significant as the incident that raised the stakes is now effectively meaningless by comparison. I think one of the enemies in the DC Multiverse is basically a surrogate for "God", the power set is "whatever the writer wants it to be" and the only weakness is "whatever is required to end the story". Where do you go from there? Could you have make "gay Superman" work? Well, there's already precedent for an infinite number of different realities to coexist, so at least one of them must have a version of Superman where he fancies, well, men, but... do the fans really want that, and more importantly, does it even matter? You can only reuse the same character so many times before even the idea of infinite variations of that character become stale?

Do we really need more Batman and Superman? Why not give someone else a chance?

If you make Superman "Gay" you are opposing the original developers of the character, who proposed Superman as an Allegory of the Hebrew Messiah, who can't be Gay because the Hebrew Messiah is sinless, according to the Book of Isaiah.

I assume Superman's heterosexuality has been indicated in the past, but even if not, it's certainly not the first time media retcons things in an attempt to show how accepting and self-righteous they are (as long as the thing in question is something they agree with, that is).

Just why? If you want to have a gay super hero, make a new one. Making a pre-existing hero gay makes the implication that a gay character cannot possibly be interesting unless they take the form of an already popular character. If I was gay, this would only repel me. It's such a crass and lazy attempt to have representation.
