I'm not from the UK, but I have spent some time there. My favorite female Brit is Boadicea, or Boudicca, who was a Celtic warrior queen who united several British tribes in revolt against the Roman occupation in 60-61 BC.

There's a statue of her right next to the River Thames in Central London.
