I am feeling that today. After our school's annual function, after all the practice session for music when it all ended, it feels so blank. It really felt like going to a music school because all my classes were skipped for music, for piano. There were three seniors and this performance was their last performance in this school, they left a really musically emotional message today. It feels like our school is going to loose three best musician they ever had. They might not even know my name but I feel so heartbroken. They are my idols. One is singer, one is drummer, one is guitarist. Is this how it feels to work in a team? I don't feel like writing another chapter of novel due to this. I guess I won't write another chapter for few days.
The short answer is yes. And that's okay and normal. It's also okay to not want to do something (like work on your novel) for a day or two. Totally fine. The key is that you can't let the heartbreak go on forever. Because then it controls you and starts to rob you of the other stuff. So, sure. Have a sad day or two. Do nothing. Or just fun stuff. Or whatever. But then, pull yourself out of it. It'll take time. But you do one or two small things and you'll soon find that the heartbreak fades a little and then a little more and then a little more.
But, yes, I've felt the same way as you for similar reasons in fact.
