I saw the Grateful Dead 8 times (and was supposed to see them one other time but got ripped off - this was Radio City Music Hall in 1980). I seen them at Madison Square Garden and the Nassau Coliseum.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcAOlseo8OYI've also seen The Jerrry Garcia Band in 1980.
Hmmmm...
So many to pick from.
I do love "U. S. Blues" because singing out loud "Summmertime, done, come and gone, my oh my!" is just so much fun.
However, I sing "Tennessee Jed" and variants of it to my dogs all the time.
"Tennessee!
Tennessee!
There ain't no place, I'd rather be!
Baby won't you carry me...
Back to Tennessee!"
When I was 17, I was wearing headphones and listening to the long instrumental part just before that last verse (above) and I was about to astral project, when the singing started again, and that got cancelled.
For pure music though, it's "Terrapin Station". No one has ever done anything like it and no other Grateful Dead song is like it.
I will say this: I was way in the back, up in the 300s in Madison Square Garden - I think this was September 1979, but possibly May 1980, and they were playing "Sugar Magnolia". The whole arena was vibrating - you could feel it in the floor under your seat, because everyone was growing their feet to the beats of the song and singing along with it.
While not technically a Grateful Dead song, I do love "The Wheel" from Jerry Garcia's 1972 solo album. "Deal" is also very good. "The Wheel", though, is a fantastic song and I am glad the Grateful Dead would play it in concert.
I do love "Eyes of the World" and should play it more.
"China Cat Sunflower/I Know You Rider" of course...
Just so many...
And with that, I will leave you with the long opening sequence to "The Grateful Dead" movie which, MANY a midnight Saturday night in Uniondale NY we'd go and see that movie. Everybody would get stoned and many would even dance in the aisles. The movie starts with "Eep Hour", but, by almost 2:30 AM when "Stella Blue" is played, we all just wanna go to sleep.

Oh, 'Friend of the Devil", of course!
It's my favorite from "American Beauty".
"Shadow of a Lonely Man," by The Alan Parsons Project (1978)
https://youtu.be/895Y11nLIpcI will try to listen tomorrow I just sleep soon
Okay. It is a timeless song!
Everything off both Trucking and American Beauty
