I really tried to listen to current music but it is over produced and really repetitive.

I'm not really familiar with today's music. But I know there's good music from all periods and generations. If I don't like what's popular, I'm sure there is still plenty of good music, even if it doesn't hit top of the charts. Besides, those charts have never been a good indication of good music from any period.
I'm not familiar with today's music mainly because I've been exploring backwards in time, instead of keeping up with modern music. Most of my life it was difficult to really explore different music. But with YouTube, internet radio, the library, and other sources it's easy to explore just about anything. There just isn't enough time to check everything out.
It's just you. From my experience, music that is usually considered "Mainstream" sucks. But lesser-known music is still great. You have to dig deep to find the good stuff. I like all kinds of Downtempo, Lounge / Chill, House, and Trance music. You won't find those in mainstream music. Electronica in general is pretty good these days.
I dont know, maybe because all the new pop and rock music i found on the radio (i live in Toronto, Canada) seems so unatractive to me.
Still good music in another countries beside USA or Canada. oh I forgot streaming services as Spotify
The 70's was the golden age of music, with the exception of Nobuo Eumatsu anyway.
If you mean chart music, yes. Because what gets in the charts is what they play on the radio, and radio isn't concerned about quality, they just want to play stuff they consider bland and inoffensive. Like Ned Sheeran.
No, it does suck. 99% of modern music has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
I have moved to Talk Radio if I have to use old car system.
That which is played on commercial radio is mostly repetitive.
I blame it on digital music. Not so much autotune and the such, but on the fact that music can be perfectly replicated and shared. That severely undercuts the income that can be made from sales. Because of this, labels are very reluctant to take risks on anything creative. Progressive rock, metal, punk, new wave, and several other forms would likely have never been heard by the masses in such an environment.
yes especially all these K-pop fever everywhere, they make me fucking sick
Yep, all downhill since the 90's
You're just getting old, gramps
...90% is garbage at best...
It's just you
