Let me clarify first that I am a 2000s kid born in 2001. And in India 90s kids are those born in 1990-1999. So I got scolded by a 90s kid on the YouTube comments section for commenting that the 2000s kids era started from 2007 because according to my understanding, a person has to be at least 6 year old to understand, enjoy and remember music. And I commented on a 2009 song. So this guy straight up said this and I am translating, "You 0's kid, we were 19 and you were 9 years, a baby. This song is for 90s kids only". He kinda said this in a gaslightling manner but the translation made it soft. And then I went to a 2010 song as "Only 2000s kids will know" and the same guy commented, "This is 90s generation song." So when I visited the comments section pf another song released in the 2000s and according to another 90s kid, 98 borns are teens by 2008. So that means a you have to be at least ten to understand music. So a 2000 born will be 10 by 2010. Which is contradictory when the guy said this is 90s generation song. Which means So my question is at what year does the 2000s era start? And can a 6-10 year old understand and enjoy music?
There was a local TV show called Sheriff John's Lunch Brigade. He sang "Put Another Candle on Your Birthday Cake" and "Laugh and Be Happy" every day. I started watching that show every day from probably the age of two and still remember those songs by heart.
When I was very young, maybe 3 or 4, I had a Disney album with classical songs like The Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Hall of the Mountain King, The William Tell Overture, and The Grand Canyon Suit. I was enthralled.
Every weekend, I would watch TV shows like Mitch Miller, Lawrence Welk, and famous performers with my parents and maternal grandparents house beginning when I was very young. And my grandfather was a record collector, so I was listening to his records, too.
So, by the time I was 6, I was already into music.
