I think the graphics/cgi look great. She sounds good. Her hairstyle isn't bad, but i’m still not a fan of the blondish-shade of red. Melissa looks great as ursula. My main disappointment is still Eric. He is my #1 Disney Prince and i just dont find that guy attractive in pics nor video. Like damn how old man King Triton lookin better than the youngster? I’m still going to watch in theaters

So the CG looks better than Namor's underwater Disney for sure. Some scenes are shot for shot like the original which is neat. However some line delivery hits different especially towards the end I thought. I think I just hope there's a bit more to this like world of Ariel's than was shown in the cartoon. Just hope its not all trying to be shot for shot the cartoon. It needs it's own grounded material.

I actually enjoyed Namors underwater stuff i just thought the avatarish look was ridiculous. And i noticed the same that the trailer just looks like everything from the cartoon. Only difference will likely be 1 or 2 new songs they add in

Yeah it'll be decent enough I think just personally not what I was hoping for it. Not anywhere near as irritating as the Peter-Pan and Wendy trailer. They're going on the deep end with the wokeness on that one and I've been trying to talk highly of a lot of things Disney lately but damn it they have ruined so many great moments with so much potential. I can't care for anything they do right now. Panther was fine and one of the best this phase of Marvel but could have been so much more and with not a whole lot more effort

Ohhh okay good haha. Well I also just found out that actress is a singer like her and her sister have duo thing together. Cloe x Halle and damn kinda vibin with their 90s style and aesthetic. Also Halle has such a unique face. She is almost fish like with her eyes but so beautiful at the same time. She looks almost exactly like an Avatar honestly but in a good way. Crazy.

The CGI looks good. I'm not a fan of the hair, but not the color. I'm not a fan of changing the hairstyles. Ariel is know for having long, thick, fluffy looking hair. But if that's what they want, I can give it a shot.
We'll see what the movie is like, when my friend watches it. He's usually the first one in the cinema when they show a blockbuster movie, and has a similar taste as me.

Honestly the original Ariel make the least sense to me if you are purely thinking of looks. All I think of is sunburn. I know she could prob just hang out deep in the sea but it seemed like she was at the top in the sun since she was so curious about land. But really I don’t care. If she makes a good Ariel than she makes a good Ariel.

Yes the OG. I know anyone can get sunburnt but I feel like when you’re a lighter red head you are more likely to get skin cancer burn more easily and all that. Skin cancer runs in my family so I think that’s just where my mind goes lol. At the end of the day it’s make believe though.

@annabananna yeah she probably would've gotten tan or "sunburned"/ sun spots., BUT you have to realize that yes, it IS just a movie, but also, I think her meeting Prince Eric inspired her to be more curious about humans. I don't really think it was more about being curious about land stuff, but about humans in general. She was curious about having feet after all and wanted to know what it was like to have them so the witch gave her a scary deal in exchange for her voice. I think she had a major crush on Eric and people like him.

I think this film was made for children not really men nor women. I dont recall Ariel being spicy outside of her one argument with her dad so i’m not really sure what you meant by that.
