What's your opinion on the band "The Doors"?

I'm currently watching the movie, and all I have to say is Jim Morrison was a weird ass dude.

Their music was great and timeless. Morrison was definitely an interesting dude. My friend and I did a little historical self-guided tour of Laurel Canyon last year and looked up the places where many of the rock stars of that era lived, including Morrison's apartment right behind the old Canyon Country Store. There's lots of history packed into that little canyon.

Yes, I like them. A little overrated, but still an important band in the history of music.

Eh!! They had a FEW good songs and even a handful of good psych tunes but, other than that, they're nothing to write home about.
Back in the early `80's, there was this girl a few years younger than me, that thought the The Doors were the best band she'd ever heard and couldn't understand why I didn't like them that much.

The doors were not my favorite group when I was growing up. Just played off the Wall music that I didn't really care for listening. The doors were not my favorite group when I was growing up. I would say my group that I enjoyed listening to was Santana and BST, Creedence Clearwater.

Jim Morrison was an eclectic dude. The music was pretty cool. It's usually the weirdos that make great sound haha

I thought they were great. I have five out of six of their CDs. They had some of the best party music. Or going on a stoned road trip - just float along and cruise.

Love that band, although not as great as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, or Led Zeppelin. Jim Morrison is strange, when He finds me a stranger. I look ugly when He’s alone. However, the fact is, that Jim Morrison is not dead — He went riding on the storm!

Talented musicians. Morrison was a good front man and decent lyricist (Robby Krieger is often overlooked as a songwriter, but was instrumental), but I do not think he was a great vocalist.

Not my bag, but my older brother used to be into them. Morrison was pretty weird by all accounts.
