What do people from outside of Portugal think of Portugal?

Well, I grew up in a Portuguese neighbourhood with people mainly from the islands. Azores. There were a few continent people in there too. Honestly speaking, as a visibly black woman, I don't have a good opinion of the average Portuguese person. I have been subjected to SO MUCH racist harrasment from them to the point where I couldn't even walk on the street without having problems. So I have never had a desire to go anywhwre near Portugal as a result. Thankfully, the best neighbours I ever had were Portuguese and they agreed with how racist their people could be. I miss them truly. Portugal is still a no for me.
I was born there in Portugal. In the Azor islands on a military United States, Air Force base. How about that?
