What does it mean when someone tells me "you look like you don't belong here"?

Recently I've gotten out of my shell (anxiety) and I've been going to concerts and clubs a lot that play the music I like (rock and metal). People there tell me so often I look like I wouldn't belong there, I guess because I don't dress wear black at all basically and I mostly wear dresses. Like yesterday I was at a rock bar and I was there and I was the only person who didn't wear black. Yesterday a girl also told me "you're so pretty what are you doing here you don't seem like you belong here" and I get that a lot. I guess it was a compliment but like what does that even mean I'm here for the music? And there's definitely people *way* prettier than me so I don't get that either
