Hate to say it but Deadpool for me
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt's not a movie, but a book, Shenandoah by James Reasoner
Titus was always the black sheep of the family, he struggled with addiction, he was incredible at shooting, he was intimidating and determined to get his way, not letting the biggest jackass in Virginia, Duncan Ebersol get in his way in his quest to marry Paulie.
He had a falling out with Paulie when after marrying Titus, she chose her jackass father over him. With nothing left in him but hatred with absolutely no support from his family, he went off to war to put his hatred and marksmanship to use.
He proved to be a vicious warrior, killing dozens of blue clad soldiers, not allowing the nonsense about "ending human life is bad" interrupt him as he reloaded his Sharp's rifle so he could kill another soldier from afar.
Until one day, he was presumed dead as he led a charge into a trench but it turns out that was an ambush where his men where outnumbered by a factor of 20. It turns out, he didn't actually die, but had no way of informing his family, who didn't care about him, because he was a prisoner of war.
He was subjected to daily torture, from being fed nothing but bug infested bread, parasite ridden water, beaten daily by guards, and forced to sit naked on ice for hours and told that if he got up, he'd be beaten and forced to sit for longer.
His hatred continued to grow, it was all that drove him now that his wife chose her drunken jackass of a father over him, even though he treated her right. After a year, he found his way home by breaking out of the prison, he made it back to the farm, thin as a pencil, sick, and unrecognizable by his family.
They couldn't believe he survived, but just by a hair, he summoned what little strength he had to say "Hey, little brother" to Henry before collapsing. He was nursed back to good health and everyone came in to see him, even Paulie.
As he woke up, he noticed Henry's arm around Paulie, and he observed a unmistakable bulge in his wife's belly.
She said to him "I'm glad you're still alive, Titus"
He replied "Well, that's nothing but a damn lie"
His mom shot at him "Titus! I will not have that language in this house!"
He replied "Hmmm, you seem to be very bothered by cussing, as usual. But you don't seem bothered by the fact that there's a damn whore under your roof"
The more I listen, the more I can relate to Titus, no support from family, they betray me at every turn, I'm constantly held to the ground by those around me, and all who I've loved have only betrayed me at the first ability to do so.
All I'm left with is hate, and yet people swear they care about me, but actions speak louder than wwords. It helps even more that I as well am quite a marksman, perhaps war is my destination, or maybe not. It doesn't matter because just like him, I look forward to leaving this world forever21 Reply- +1 y
damn bro. I'm sorry to hear that.

Jimmy Stewart's character, eminently capable, yet sometimes stubborn, eventually giving over to that which makes sense, making use of all available resources, triumphing against seemingly insurmountable odds to the salvation of himself and those he could manage to bring along with him, being moved by the loss of those who succumbed to the vagaries of the desert.
Its connection to me? I can't say that I can claim all of those characteristics, some I can undoubtedly claim. I aspire to the positive. I own the negative and attempt to make changes as needed and desired.
It's one of my most favorite movies.
Runners-up? Five Came Back, 1939 and its 1956 remake, Back From Eternity. Somewhat similar circumstances, to a degree. Shocker ending.

+1 yDamn deadpool’s sense of humor was cringe af. I enjoyed the action/kill scenes but thats it. He was not funny and played like a sissy the entire time. I don't know why he felt that was necessary to be funny but ig its in the comics I don't know. Oh well, you and the majority seem to like it. I personally wish his lips were sealed like in Xmen Origins Wolverine 🤷♀️ I don't know what film describes me. I liked Little Mermaid, A Cinderella Story (Hilary Duff), Cruella, Catwoman 2004, Ella Enchanted, Heartbreakers, Josie & the Pussycats, she's All That, Princess Diaries 2, What Happens in Vegas, Ready or Not, You Again, What Men Want, Brown Sugar, Guess Who, and This Means War

+1 yLegally blonde even though I'm not a blonde. She is girly and studious. She chases the man she likes, wears cute outfits, is friendly and ambitious. Also, I have faced a similar type of discrimination because a lot of people don't think I'm smart. I can relate to the character.

u +1 yI'd have to say The Dark Knight Trilogy. When I look back at my life and the events therein, I just see a lot of internal overlapping themes and how I've experienced and processed things like love, loss, ideals, falls from grace, and redemption.

17 Again
My college life was like a fairytale. I got all the fame and love I could ask for. Life was awful before that, and it still is after graduation.
😂 I guess "17 Again" had that short period of my life perfectly portrayed.
