Okay so i watched Guardians Vol 2 despite not liking part 1 years ago. Part 2 shocked me. It was very good. And ugh i decided to be nice and give John Wick another try. I knew i liked the second but didn't initially like the first. But after rewatching, 1 wasn't that bad. But i still sound like everyone else saying “all this over a dog” 🤣 But yea Wick 2 and 3 were really good. Not enough to pay to see 4 tho lmao

Godzilla vs kong was sooo underwhelming and I was so hyped lol... Doctor strange 2 was supposed to be a turning point and it was an absolute joke lol... Zombieland 1 was freaking awesome and then 2 came out and obliterated that memory xD... Spiderman no way home is the most aggressively mediocre thing after fast and furious xD... Tenet was lame... once upon a time in hollywood was just Tarantino's wet dream lol... I thought The gentlemen will be snatch 2 but it turned out to be silly and immensely forgettable... John Wick 4 was a terrible finale... Bullet train really sucked ass lol... Matt Reeves batman was so lame and overhyped... And here's some classics I didn't like : Silence of the lambs ( overrated ), the big lebowski ( horrendous ), apocalypse now ( horrendous ), the pianist ( pretentious ), taxi driver ( overrated ), Forrest Gump ( boooooring ), the departed ( wack ), the usual suspects ( wack )... P. S : wrath of man is a really nice action flick, I actually love it lol

Yes I had waited yeaaars for that battle, just for it to be filled with beautiful colors, amazing graphics, and then a horrible horrible battle. And kong was acting like he was on shrooms inside of that volcano land 🤣 Doctor Strange 1 was too amazing! He did not deserve how bad part 2 was. And to focus on scarlet witch? I dont even care for that hoe 😂 I was pissed that he got the Iron Man/Spiderman treatment of Homecoming. Like whose movie is this anyways! Zombieland 2 had us waiting all that time for nothing! Almost as bad as Godzilla vs Kong. Okay hold up now, we ain't gone diss No Way Home and Fast 10 🤣 I actually think both were 8 or 9 out of 10. I enjoyed them haha. Slow ya roll my Aquarius brotha 💀Tenet had a great intro but the second hour suuuucked. I didn't care for John Wick 1 and although 2 was a step up, i didn't even give 3 nor 4 the time of day. I used to love Brad Pitt but i could tell fromt he trailer alone that Bulletrain wouldn't be all that great. Babe can barely act. Mr and Mrs Smith, Fury, Meet Joe Black and World War Z mustve really boosted his ego... Aside from those and his cameo in Sandras movie plus one other film, he kinda sucks at carrying a film. I get bored watching any batman film tbh. I mean I liked parts of both Dark Knight films but aside from that, batman could die for all i care, ole husky hoarse sounding ass. I only saw Silence of the Lamb as a kid. I still didn't understand what it was about aside from a serial killer that i know assume is hannibal? I don't know. Dull film just like Signs. Forrest Gump had its moments but i really just enjoyed young jenny saying RUN FORREST RUUUUN! Once her little hoeass grew up, the film lost me. The whole movie was an excuse so that we can see our loved og characters... Actors weren't even trying lol... Everyone was just getting their paycheck... Dune tho... I can't really explain it 😆... Like I said I absolutely hate it the first time I've watched.. I thought it was a 3 hour trailer... but after rewatching single scenes one after another... it has been growing on me... The world, the politics, the diverse characters, the vibe and cinematography, the scary ass baron xD... Everything is just perfect... It's like a Science fiction book literally coming to life... And the fact that the director said part 1 was at best an introduction and to see if it would make enough money at the box office... You know it's only going to get better... And seeing the trailer, Hell yeah I can't wait lol... I seriously can't 😆

I love Jason Statham so of course i gave it a try. But Wrath of Man just lacked the brilliance that “Safe” and so many of his other solo films had. I love Jason like i love Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarnegger, Michael Jai White, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme. I’m all about the kickass films. But yea Wrath of a Man just didn't do it for me. And i kinda agree with you about Spiderman not giving much aside from nostalgia. I think Tom was not a good fit for spiderman but i love him in films like The Impossible and In the Heart of the Sea. I think Andrew and Jamie Foxx redeemed themselves from the horror of Amazing Spiderman 2. I think Willem and Jamie did amazing as villains. The Lizard and the Sandman were slacking because they werent really there. They were cgi’d in because they had aged up or something. Doc Oct became a good guy way too soon and way too easily. I mainly enjoyed this film because of the first two spideys. But I don't know that was enough for me to find the film incredible even if the acting was subpar. Maybe I should try to rewatch Dune. I don't know i just loved the big worm scenes but everything else wasn't doing it for me. Did you watch the first Dune? The one from decades ago?

No, I've only seen memes about it 😂... it looks very amateur and cheap.. I heard even the director avoids watching it lmao... and like I said dune part 1 is just an introduction... If you rewatch the whole movie again it's probably gonna feel like a drag too... I revisit some scenes from time to time.. Especially the ones with the baron and bene gesserit and of course... The worm scene 😄... and exploring arrakis in general... Other than that it's just Paul being quirky and clueless and closeups of zendaya wandering in the desert 😆... About no way home tho... no, no... um.. NO 😂..

Lol so you know everything but dont consider that spoilers 🤣 And no it was disappointing. Creed 1 is a 7/10 but forgettable. Creed 2 was EPIC. 8.5/10. I've seen it several times. But i can't stand the way he talks down to Rocky in the first two films. Creed 3 was a one and done. It really did need Stallone to provide that extra spark. I give it 6/10.

Halloween Ends. This movie was an absolute disgrace to Michael Myer's legacy. The main focus was entirely on a new character. Micheal was barely the movie. Godzilla (2014)

In June 2014, I paid $11.00 to see "Godzilla". The best character was played by Brian Cranston and they wasted his acting talents giving him limited action and killing him off early. And then the stupid "MUTO"s...

I was hoping that movie would be more intelligent, but it wasn't. I actually liked "Godzilla" (1998) more! At least it was more intelligent.

Anyway, I felt ripped off because of the $11.00 I paid to see "Godzilla" (2014).

Fortunately, 3 days later, it was "Half-off Tuesday", so, for $5.50, I saw "Edge of Tomorrow" which was one of the best movies that I ever paid to see. I would have been completely satisfied paying $11.00 to see that.

So, even though I paid $11.00 for "Godzilla" and $5.50 for "Edge of Tomorrow", it balanced out because "Edge of Tomorrow" was worth $11.00 and "Godzilla" was worth $5.50.

It's criminal that "Edge of Tomorrow", which got fantastic reviews, relatively failed at the box office compared to "Godzilla" which was really just on par with a bad comic book movie.

I despitse Godzilla 2014. He got his ass whooped by those tripods and i was all for it because the film sucked so bad! Godzilla vs Kong sucked just as bad. Kong Skull Island and Godzilla King of Monsters were mediocre but not as bad. I will forever love 2005 King Kong and 1998 Godzilla (with Matthew Broderick; despite people disliking that one)

Harry Potter and the goblet of fire ( left out a lot of the stuff from the book), almost every Halloween, and Friday the 13th movie ( the fist few were good), Ice age 4. And the list goes on.

I loved Xmen Origins and didn't find it boring like most of Logan. Wow you hated Goblet of Fire? That was the best one in my opinion lmao. Idc about staying true to the books. I didn't like Origins Wolverine, because of how they portrayed Deadpool. The overall plot was good Totally f*cked up the character.
I read the book first, that's why I didn't like the Goblet of fire movie. If I watched the movie first, I'd probably like it.

The Snyder cut really goes into detail about Darkside, how he tried invading Earth before, how he was stopped the first time, and the backstory of the heroes.

It's not that. I can handle if they change something in the movies, as long as it's done well. But most movies screw it up by changing the whole dynamic of the story, or the character. Ron, from Harry Potter, is a great example of this. In the books he's more confident, and more involved in figuring out solutions to their problems. In the movies, he's portrayed as an idiot who's mostly there for comic relief.

With the exception of Denzel in "The Magnificent Seven" virtually any remake/reboot.

The remake of "True Grit" made me need subtitles to understand a word Rooster says. I lasted five minutes into the "Ocean's 7" before it became pointless. Anything else remade to fit today's "climate" so it doesn't offend is actually offensive in its premise.

That said, a "woke" version of "Life of Brian" or "Blazing Saddles" may have entertainment value simply because it's impossible.

I'd rather watch the originals thanks.

I'm not sure I'm old enough to be your gramps' generation, but a lot of Gen-X childhood consisted of Saturday and Sunday TV which was dominated in England by Bonanza, the High Chaparral and John Wayne movies - usually his Westerns - or something similar. Occasionally we'd get Kirk Douglas dressed up as Spartacus or a Viking, or Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen saving a town from the dastardly Eli Wallach with help from Charles Bronson.

Evening movies would then be something by Clint Eastwood or Charles Bronson riding into town to sort out Lee Van Cleef or his friends.

Either way, most of the Gen-X mind was raised on gunfights. Some of them at the OK Corral!

They had to watch (and still watch) Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, Rawhide, Highway to Heaven, Cheyenne, Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Andy Griffith, etc. Reruns still come on the “Inspiration”’and “Tvland” channel to this day. I personally can't get into black/white shows. Make my eyes hurt 🤣 But yea my mom still constantly watches Little House and my grandparents still watch the others

I usually don't feel bound to watch the sequels or spinoff or other versions... ruins the original appeal for me... if there was a good impression and it can stand alone which most can... it's been that way since I used to read novels on Wattpad. I've seen versions of many of those shows but haven't seen the modern ones.

Let's take Joker for example, the character fit perfectly in Batman, and I had no desire to see a whole show called joker, it is like watching the same show from a different perspective... tampering with the original. It may also have to do with the choice of actor but to me it's more about it takes away the uniqueness and appeal of the original.

Not to say there aren't good sequels... fast and furious is not one of them... it's quite stretched

I think more in terms of which ones don't disappoint me. That's a very short list over the last few years, but even so, I can't recall any off the top of my head! The last big disappointment for me was Maverick, especially after so many people raved about it.

Lol I’m not hard to please. I only named 100 something films that i disliked. I still love 10 times that. The thing that made Amazing Spiderman 2 bad was really just Jamie Fox’s horrible look and the Green Goblins bad acting. Outside of that, the film wasn't all that bad. I mean okay yea I also hated seeing Gwen get her head bust open so early on in the film series. Other than that, Andrew was a way better spidey than Tom in my opinion. The graphics were beautiful. But at the same time, ASM2 isn't all that memorable. I can't remember much that happened aside from Jamie falling in eels, the green goblin being some sick Harry, and Gwen dying 🤷‍♀️

I didn't hate it, i just found it disappointing, long and dull. Aside from buildings turning upside down like a Doc Strange film, it was dull. Most of Leonardos films are overrated. Man in the Iron Mask was one of the few Leo films i enjoyed from beginning to end. Hotel Transylvania 3 was very Disappointing but part 2 was good. Ice Age sequels just didn't have what the first did

I actually liked Justice League. But i didn't like the Batman films (aside from Dark Knight 1) nor Superman films (aside from Superman Returns). Aquaman quickly got boring. Wonder Woman 2 was bad. The first wasn't bad but overrated. I liked Endgame but not the other Avengers films. I actually enjoyed Eternals, Shang Chi and No Way Home which all came after Endgame. I liked The Mummy Tomb Emperor better than the first two. I didn't care for Pacific Rim nor any Robin Hood aside from the Men in Tights comedy. Days of Thunder was boring.

To me, Eternals made no sense and was horribly paced. Shang Chi had a toxic actor in it's lead. No Way Home was a Sony film and outside of Disney meddling. WW 2 was insanely bad because that was all Patty Jenkins' influence and effort. I guess I know too much behind the scenes crap to enjoy movies nowadays.

Im so opposite on that 🤣 The first 2 were so dull to me. I mean Paul looked great and I enjoyed the streetraces. I was also sad to see the kid get killed in Fast 1. But outside of that, those films lacked for me. Fast 3 stepped it up in my opinion. Fast 4 was several steps down. Fast 5 kicked it off! And was amazing. Fast 6 and 7 were mediocre. Fast 8 brought back the energy. Fast 9’was a complete waste of time. Fast X wouldve been an awesome finale but no theyre dragging it out splitting it into 3 films

I wanted to like Watchmen becausw i enjoyed the show that came out many years later. But no that film was looooong and dull. I tend to confuse Armageddon and Deep Impact but one i found very dull. I liked Magic Mike 2 but not 1. I wanted to like Oceans because the cast was so sexy but nah i didn't. And i watched like 2 of them and then Sandras which was pretty bad too. I was shocked rihanna was the best casting on there and i dont even like her

So glad someone else said Spiderman 2! The only good part was where Doc Oct becomes Doc Oct and kills his wife by accident as well as when Tobey stops the train. Other than that, the film was boring. I didn't like any Toy Story sequel. I haven't watched the original Star Wars. I started with Phantom Menace and that was bad. But i liked Attack of the Clones and the end of Revenge of the Sith. I felt Force Awakens and Rogue Nation were boring. Beginning of Solo, end of Last Jedi, and all of Rise of Skywalker were good. I loved all Hobbit films but cannot finish LoTR 1.
