🙂 Anything Except the Horror Ones...

I remember when I was reading "Desperation" by Stephen King, right at the beginning of the book, this cop pulls one person over after another and takes some of them to jail, and others, he torments, and if I remember correctly, I think there was even one scene where he shoots a man in the head, but there was so much action and suspense.

I love when a book starts out with a good suspenseful action scene. "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood is another good one. It's about a society taken over by religion, and all the adulterers become handmaids and are basically forced to work as slaves for these commanders and their wives.

Then once a month, they have to have sex with the commanders with their wife present in the room because population is down (Something happened to the environment that made it hard for woman to conceive children or something like that). Dystopian books are always interesting though. I hear Suzan Collin's dystopian series "The Hunger Games" is good also. Everyone tells me it's really good, but I haven't read those yet.

I'm always looking for new books to read myself. The last couple of books I got from the library weren't good at all, and they were both on the New York Times best seller list. I don't think those books are always the best, lol
