I was talking to a friend yesterday and we agree Marvel have overloaded the market with films and tv shows from Phase 4 onwards for example between 2008 and 2019, the infintaity saga the only show was agent of shield but since then they overloaded the market.

The MCU made multiple mistakes in hindsight. Two glaring ones are that neither Hawkeye or Black Widow got their own movies despite being staple members of the main Avengers cast (BW's movie was released out of sequence and after the character was already dead). The quality of the movies also peaked with Civil War, and dropped off sharply with Captain Marvel, where they clearly began prioritizing messaging over storytelling, and even went and bought out seats and theaters themselves in order to make it look like a bigger success than it really was. Endgame should've been the penultimate climax, but almost everyone considers Infinity War better in pretty much every way. They also should've stopped and taken some time off after Endgame rather than shifting gears to spew out a new marvel show twice a year in addition to crappy movies. The only reasonably good post-endgame addition they've had was Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that was a holdover script from 2018.

If the content was actually good, people would still be watching it en masse and every release would be making around a billion dollars. The focus on superficial messaging and quantity over quality has effectively killed the genre.
