Do you think its rude for someone to play music early in morning and in midnight?

My uncle lives beside us and he plays loud music early in morning at 5 am. And when he and his friends drink he would play music at 7 pm till 12 am midnight which is annoying cuz Im still sleeping at 5 am and 7-12 is time where most people would sleep.

I think it's rude. But people really don't give a shit about us in the way that we want them to. So I just sleep with earphones in everynight.

I play noise at a good enough volume to where I don't hear my surroundings. And make sure they have foam tips for a better seal. I find this to be better than earplugs. With earplugs, I can still hear my environment.

I'll admit though, when I was trying to sleep with construction noise going on in literally the next room to mine, I'm talkin, hammer on the walls & powertools that shake the entire house, I would need to wear earplugs & put on headphones to blast noise. I even eq'd the headphones so that the noise would be the frequencies that I could actually hear with the earplugs in.

Have you tried asking him nicely to be a little more quiet?

Yes but he always does this especially when he's drinking its like you would ask him to stop now but a few days later he would continue it again

Is he the only neighbor or are there others who are getting disturbed also?

No one really reports him. I don't know if they make comments about it too. But at 10 pm onwards its already quiet and if you're playing music it can easily be heard around neighbors.

I ask because the next solution is to fight fire with fire.

Press a large loud speaker against the wall you share with him and blast to most ear-bleeding horrible music you can find.

He should be quiet from about 10PM until 7AM.
