Should children be banned from singing?

One of the biggest stories coming out of the world cup (the real one) is the massacre of national anthems
France has decided to get 7,000 schoolchildren from diverse backgrounds to lead the singing. Mêlée des Chœurs, involves choirs singing each country’s anthem without accompanying music, but the response from fans across the world was overwhelmingly negative.

Newspapers are full of stories slamming the atrocious singing calling for kids to shut up.

So thoughts have France ruined the world cup with this? Should they stick to making cheese and leave singing to the grown ups?

Let kids be kids and enjoy themselves, i mean kinda wrong to say they are terrible at singing when you have so many singer both male and female who are terrible yet paid millions to so call perform

Just play an audio of each nation's anthem, and let the players and fans butcher the singing. Don't put that on the kids... let them be kids... let them play with their friends.

Some kids really have a talent and should sing, but those that don't need to stay in their vocal academy a little longer until they find their voice before they torture us with their practice.

World cups and Olympics are more financially favorimg construction and real estate with new stadiums, hotels and so on.

An inexperienced child is going to sing just as well as an inexperienced adult. Best to start practicing early if they want to get good at it.
